Last week’s switcheroo came as a surprise to pretty much everyone. No one thought Josh would stick around much less get traded for Meghan to the Red team. So tonight’s episode he’s going to have to prove himself and make sure Chef Ramsay doesn’t come to regret decision

Yet that’s always easier said than done. And in the meantime both teams were looking at the trade as a godsend.

Nothing against Megan but no one else was allowed to shine with her around. So some saw her trade as a chance to finally impress the Chef. And in that regard the Blue team was just as cocky. Josh after all was loud and certain teammates didn’t really believe he was that great of a cook.

Thus the trade was welcome and later during the annual blind tasting challenge – Josh oddly proved to be useful. He has a very good palate and won a lot of points for his team. However both team eventually came to tie and so they needed a tie-breaker.

So Josh was once again helpful. When he had to up against Milly, someone who also has a great palate, in the last part of the challenge, he managed to detect the difference between avocado and potatoes while Milly was left flustered.

Don’t worry he beat himself because of that.

But see one of the main reasons Josh tends to run into problems with his teammates is his mouth. There are simply times he doesn’t know when to shut it. And an example of this would be after he won the challenge for the Red team. Apparently before they could go on a shopping spree and eat caviar for lunch – he just had to say something to the “losers”.

Hence he burned a few bridges on his way out.

Randy actually believed Josh was a strong player. And he wasn’t afraid to admit that though they occasionally bumped heads like on last week’s episode. So he was really hoping that Megan would come through on tonight’s dinner service.

Yet if there’s anyone that turned out to be the weak link then unfortunately it had to be Randy. Chef Ramsay had told both teams that they were going to be cooking a five course meal. Each cook would take charge of one course and they all would work on desert together.

But having both Alison and Randy on risotto only served to highlight the difference between the two. One was capable cook and the other constantly needed someone to check their work. Guess who was who!

And, truthfully, it’s not like there was a packed dinner room.

Both teams were serving two major charitable organizations: actress Fran Drescher’s “Cancer Schmancer Movement” and “Step Up Women’s Network.” And it was less than 13 people a table. So why did Randy come up with 16 dishes of risotto?

That was huge error and it was also time consuming. So Megan’s theory of being cursed was funnily turning out to be true. Though the Red team had their own fair share of mistakes.

And no surprise there but Josh managed to annoy everyone one of his teammates.

First he upset them when he refused to let them while he was on tuna. And then he tried to tell Michelle how to cook her beef. So even Chef Ramsay began believe he was too much and told Josh to give his teammate some room. Yet the Red team’s inner issues didn’t stop there.

Michelle then went on to annoy T so those two got into an argument. And speaking of petty fights, Randy continued to have a problem with Milly for how he plated his risotto. Nevermind that Milly could have sworn that Randy plated some dishes himself and that the end of the day the responsibility to count the plates lies with Randy.

But Randy believes he was sabotaged so he proceeded to take that out on everyone else. And the one reason the Blue team won tonight’s dinner service is that Randy saved all his anger until after they had all finished cooking. Michelle and T though argued prior to deserts and during clean up.

So Chef Ramsay said the Blue team worked more as a team. And he told the Red team to nominate someone for election.

They came up with Michelle and Josh. And the two made strong cases for themselves. So much so that Ramsay chose not to send either of them home.

Instead he sent Randy home.

Randy was a good cook but he wasn’t ready for this type of competition. He needed more experience and nothing could camouflage that.

THE END!
