Tonight’s episode of “How To Get Away With Murder” kicks off with Annalise returning home after a few weeks, there are “Missing Persons” posters hanging on the fence in front of her house. She arrives, and Sam’s crazy sister is waiting at her house for her – Sam’s sister is worried about Sam and clearly has no idea that he is dead. She follows Annalise around the house screaming that Sam didn’t kill Lila. Ananlise gives her the box of all of the evidence that she used in court to prove Sam did kill Lila, and warns his sister that Sam “was not the man they thought he was.”

It’s the first day of the 2nd semester, Michaela, Connor, Wes, and Laurel head back to Annalise’s class. Connor fills them in on Sam’s sister coming to town and looking for Sam, Wes is furious that Ananlise didn’t tell him about Sam’s sister and corners her in the office. While Wes and Annalise are bickering over Sam’s sister – Bonnie interrupts and says that a woman just walked in and said she was arrested for a DUI and needs a lawyer. Bonnie thinks it may be a member of the press getting close to Annalise under false pretenses, but Annalise agrees to take on the case. She and her students could “use a little fun.”

Annalise storms out of her office and sees a mousey woman sitting in the waiting room. Annalise demands to know what precinct arrested her, the woman begins stuttering and it is clear that she doesn’t have a DUI, so Annalise tries to kick her out. She tells Annalise that she “wants to do what Annalise did.” Annalise kicks her out and heads back in the office but the woman shouts, “Please take on my case! My husband is holding two girls captive in our basement!” Naturally, Annalise is intrigued.

Flashback: Wes and Rebecca’s Apartment on Christmas Day – Wes is baffled because the kid that used to live there before him is still receiving Christmas Cards with cash in them from his Grandma. Wes remembers the scratch marks over the bed, on the wall that Rudy left before he moved out.

At Annalise’s office, the woman cries to her and the students that she couldn’t have children – so her husband kidnapped two women Rachel and Lynn and has kept them captive in the basement. Lynn is about to give birth to a baby, and the woman is afraid she will lose the baby if they don’t go to the hospital. Annalise meets with the DA and they agree to a plea, then she gives up the address and the two women are rescued from the basement and the husband is arrested. Sam’s sister stops Annalise outside of court and tells her that the police got a lead on Sam, a woman recognized him at a rest stop in upstate New York. Laurel corners Frank and wants to know what they are going to do about Connor’s car because it is full of Sam’s DNA. Inside the court room, the judge shoots down Annalise’s plea for her client and says “no deal” until she hears from the two girls that were locked in the basement.

At Wes’s house, Rebecca wakes him up because he is having another nightmare. He wakes up and looks at the scratchmarks that Rudy left on the wall above his bed. Connor has a serious talk with Oliver, and tries to give him a gift and take him out to dinner. Oliver snaps that he is acting strange, and reminds him that they are not boyfriends. At court the next day Connor’s car is stolen, Frank tells him he should file a police report so that he gets the insurance money.

In court, Lynn and Rachel explain to the judges that Jackie used to drug them so that it didn’t hurt as much when her husband raped them. Annalise is livid, but Jackie insists that she drugged them to help them, her husband used to rape her to and no girl should have to be awake through that. Annalise orders her students to go over Jackie’s tapes and try to find something proving that she drugged them out of the kindness of her heart. While Wes is listening to Jackie’s testimony, he realizes that she talks about the baby that Lynn had still-born like it is still alive. Annalise demands that Jackie tell her if the baby is still alive. Jackie says she has the baby – and if Annalise gets her the plea deal, she will let her know where the baby is.

Jackie confesses that she told her husband the baby Heather died when she turned four because she seen the way her husband started to look at her. Jackie admits that Heather is by herself in a cabin that her Aunt owned, but she refuses to give Annalise the address so she can go get the child until she gets a plea deal on the table. Hours later Annalise finally gets the deal, and Jackie whines that she isn’t going to be able to see daughter. Annalise finally gets the address out of her and sends police to save the little girl.

Outside the law students have a heart to heart talk. Wes admits that he has nightmares and he can’t sleep at night and he thinks he is going crazy. Connor snaps that he and Michaela are innocent and Laurel and Wes are trying to play them. Luaurel argues that if Connor keeps up with that mentality, they are all going to get caught. While they are all bickering outside, Sams sister Hannah walks up on the porch and interrupts them – she may have heard their entire conversation.

Hannah heads inside and hands the box of evidence over to Bonnie. She tells Bonnie that something is not right – and Sam didn’t even have any of his DNA on Lila’s dead body, she begs Bonnie to help her figure out what happened to her brother, Frank overhears them talking.

Ananlise heads home and Frank tells her that Hannah is still snooping around and she is “freaking out the kids.” Frank offers to “handle her,” but Annalise says that she will take care of it herself. Then she invites Hanna over to dinner, and she serves her some dinner that she cooked. Hannah laughs that she hasn’t seen Annalise ever cook, she snaps that she is done with Annalise’s performance and she wants the truth. Ananlise sits down and explains to Hannah that she did everything she could to help Sam, and even tried to cover his tracks. Hannah asks if Annalise is covering for Sam and knows where he is, she says no and Hannah cries.

Wes heads home and finds Rebecca sitting on the computer watching a news clip – they have a serious problem, Sam’s remains were just found and identified.
