Everyone knows that The Bachelorette 2015 Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth’s engagement has a short shelf life – but they could be breaking up sooner than we all expected if Kaitlyn accepts a spot on the Dancing With The Stars Season 21 cast. It’s not unusual for ABC to offer former Bachelorettes and Bachelors a gig on the dancing competition, and seeing as how Kaitlyn is already a pro dancer and instructor – she had offers from ABC before she was even done filming The Bachelorette. But, 2015 winner Shawn Booth has forbidden her form competing on DWTS.
Former Bachelor Chris Soules competed on Season 20 of Dancing With The Stars, and he got a case of the Hollywood bug and the gig went to his head, directly causing his fiancé Whitney Bischoff to dump him and head back home to Chicago. So, it’s no wonder Shawn Booth doesn’t want Kaitlyn Bristowe to join the show this season. But, according to our insiders – it goes much deeper than that.
During Season 11 of The Bachelorette we got a front row seat to Shawn Booth’s multiple meltdowns, and it is no secret that he has some major jealousy issues and is rather controlling. The last thing he wants is to have to share his fiancée Kaitlyn with the world, and a dancing partner. Our insider dished, “Kaitlyn is in talks to join DWTS, and Shawn is fuming. Shawn hates the thought of Kaitlyn ditching him to go to hours of rehearsals, and basically sharing the spotlight with another guy instead of him. He basically told Kaitlyn that if she joins the show – they are over.”
From what we know about Kaitlyn, telling her what not to do is the fastest way to make her do something. She may sign on to DWTS just to prove a point is Shawn keeps pushing the issues.
