Country singers Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are officially divorced as of July 20. CDL has been reporting trouble brewing in Blake and Miranda’s marriage for months, although some dedicated fans of the two singers didn’t want to accept the fact that there was trouble in paradise. Blake and Miranda have been fighting like cats and dogs for over a year now and about every possible problem under the sun like whether or not to have a baby, both of their drinking problems, rumored cheating on both of their parts, and of course their busy careers and work schedules. According to a new report the couple finally called it quits and have ended their four year marriage.
TMZ reports that on July 20 a judge will sign Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s divorce documents and make their separation official. Blake and Miranda have been quietly ironing out the financial details over the course of the last few months, and there weren’t any hiccups because the country singers had apparently signed an iron-clad prenuptial agreement. Earlier today Miranda Lambert was spotted moving her animals out of the barn at their Oklahoma Ranch.
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton released an official statement via their rep and it reads, “This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy heart that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
No one is exactly shocked by Blake and Miranda’s divorce news, the country singers had way more reasons to break up than they did to stay together. Of course, we can’t help but wonder what the final straw was. According to TMZ, Blake is actually the one who filed for divorce – not Miranda Lambert.
