Pregnant Kate Middleton Visits Barlby Primary School With Baby Bump - Forced To Join Twitter and Instagram? (PHOTOS)

If Kate Middleton had her way, she would be at Anmer Hall with Prince William, playing with Prince George and taking a year-long vacation – not at the Barlby Primary School with a prominent baby bump. However, being the Duchess of Cambridge isn’t amenable to having free will, and thus, she’s forced to play the part of the perfect royal escort. We recently covered Kate Middleton’s misery in playing such a part, but that’s the price that one has to pay for being a consort to a royal – especially when that royal is the heir to the largest and oldest monarchy in the world right now.

Now, Kate Middleton, along with Prince William and Prince Harry, joined Twitter  and Kensington Palace opened an Instagram account this week. But sources are telling us that it wasn’t necessarily of their own volition that they joined Twitter, since all of them, at one point or another, have commented on their disdain for social media – especially Prince Harry. No, sources tell us that the Twitter move was a PR effort cooked up by the palace’s press office, and is just a way of appealing to young people who don’t want to be bothered by the stodgy, older royals.

Of course, this is just an addendum to all the things that Kate Middleton is forced to do as Prince William’s wife. Even though she’s nearing the third trimester of her pregnancy, a very pregnant Kate Middleton was forced to visit the Barlby Primary School in London today to open a new music block. I mean, they are public appearances and ones that she has to attend, but you think she would have chosen to do that if she didn’t have to? For all of Kate’s words on charity and helping people, the woman spends 80% of her time lolling around and either taking vacations or playing with her kid. It’s not like she even needs to do the grunt work with Prince George, since she has a million-member staff that will do all of that.

What do you guys think about Kate Middleton continuing to make public appearances as she gets more or more pregnant? And what do you think about the royals’ move to social media – do you think it was their choice to do it, or were they forced into it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
