Tonight on ABC Revenge continues with an all new Sunday May 3, season 4 episode 22 called “Plea,” and we have your weekly recap and spoilers below. On this evening’s episode Emily [Emily VanCamp] wants to prove she’s not guilty as Ben [Brian Hallisay] tries to keep her incarcerated, so she turns to Jack [Nick Wechsler] and Nolan [Gabriel Mann] for help.

#Revenge begins with Amanda in jail. She’s told the state is arguing for murder one with special circumstances. Amanda looks at the suicide note that she allegedly forged and says it’s Victoria’s handwriting. Her lawyer asks her to let him try to negotiate to a lesser plea. She says she didn’t do this and is not pleading guilty. She tells him to get her bailed out. Nolan meets Jack and David in court and asks about his cancer treatment. Nolan says he may have found Treadwell.
David says it looks like a trailer park and they wonder why Mason would take a limo to a trailer park. Judge Moss enters the courtroom then Amanda. Margaux tells her people that the headlines should all read “alleged killer” Amanda Clarke any time her name is used. Louise shows up and Margaux apologizes for not calling her back. Louise says she went to the penthouse to get some mementos for the funeral but says the executor locked it up. Margaux says Charlotte, her real daughter, is the executor.
Louise says Victoria’s penthouse is where she feels close to her. She tells Margaux she wants her to do a Robert Frost reading at the funeral but Margaux refuses. She tells her that she will grieve Victoria in her own way – crucifying Amanda in the press. The lawyers argue before the judge on bail. The judge says he’ll give her bail but under strict conditions. He asks if she understands and he sets it at two million then they slap her with an ankle monitor that won’t allow her off her dad’s property at the beach house.
Ben puts it on her and tells her the rules. Amanda says she’s sorry that Ben got stuck with it but he says he volunteered for it. Amanda says he’s come a long way in the last few weeks. He says he knows her and knows she’s already thinking of a way out of her monitor. He says she will get caught and to not do it. David closes the door behind them as they leave. Nolan comes over and she says the plan is they need to get Mason to confess.
Jack tells Amanda that David is upstairs sleeping and says the chemo is wiping him out. Nolan says he found the trailer park but Amanda doesn’t want them to go after Mason. Nolan is working on hacking her ankle monitor and says he only has it working theoretically. Jack asks to talk to Amanda outside. They go out on the porch and he says he didn’t know Victoria had it in her. Amanda says Victoria didn’t pull this off alone. She doesn’t want Jack in this but he says he’s there by choice.
Jack sits with her on the swing and says it’s a bad time for this conversation then asks was she really coming to the airport to ask him not to leave. She says yes. She says she wanted him to stay and still does. She says when Nolan told her he was leaving, she realized how badly she messed things up and went after him. She says she was four years and five minutes too late. She says she wants to be with him and will go after Mason if she has to cut her foot off to do it.
Nolan comes out and interrupts what may have been a kiss. He says he needs her inside so they can try and swap frequencies from one ankle monitor to another. She goes in and says let’s do this. Jack smiles happily. Louise goes to find Charlotte at the facility and says she’s sorry for her loss. She introduces herself and Louise says she’s working on Victoria’s funeral. She says she needs permission to get into the penthouse. Charlotte says she’s not going to the funeral.
Charlotte says Victoria was the most manipulative human she’s ever known. She says Victoria went after what she wanted no matter the cost. Charlotte says she’s already grieved her mom – the first time she died and disappeared. Louise is shocked to hear this and then asks about Victoria’s belongings. Charlotte says if Louise will stop calling, she’ll let her into the penthouse and she can take what she wants.
David comes down and asks Amanda what she’s doing. She says she doesn’t want him complicit if something goes wrong. He asks if she’s going after Mason and she says she has to. He says she’ll get caught if she evades house arrest. Amanda explains Nolan’s strategy. David says that won’t help the cops that are out looking for her and says she’ll be thrown in jail until trial. He says he’ll go after Mason and says he’s not going after Mason.
The lights go out, she slaps the bogus monitor on David’s wrist and runs out. He can’t pursue her or he’ll set off the alarm! Margaux is at lunch when Jack approaches her. He says he remembers she told him this was her favorite lunch spot. He offers her condolences and says there’s something she needs to know. He sits and says he won’t take long. He asks if she noticed that the circumstances around Victoria’s death are strange. He says it’s sloppy and not Amanda’s style. He says he thinks it was a set up.
He asks if she knows something and he says Amanda has never killed and says this mess will get exposed. Margaux says she was glad when she heard he went to California. He says he’ll be okay but he’s worried about Margaux. She says Amanda is pulling him off a cliff with her. Jack looks at her license plate curiously. David calls Nolan and begs him to call him. There’s a knock at the door and David hides the monitor. It’s Ben and he asks how David is feeling.
Ben says they had a lot of burglar alarms go off in town so he came by to check on Amanda. David says she’s asleep upstairs. He says the monitoring station will reboot at 9 pm and he needs to be there to adjust it. There’s a beeping and Ben looks around. David holds out his arm. Ben says she cloned it and says it’s clever. David says she didn’t kill Victoria. Ben says wherever Amanda is, she’s back online now. She’s at the trailer park looking for Mason. She picks the lock on a trailer and heads inside.
She sees slippers on the sofa, books, grapes and champagne. No Mason. She goes outside. A couple is lighting candles for a dinner. He says the neighbor across the street was throwing out the champagne bottles so they’re using them for candlesticks. He says the guy and his lady friend killed out. She asks and they tell her the woman seemed upscale. She says she had good skin and Amanda asks if she got a name. Before they can answer, the cops are there to take Amanda into custody. They cuff her and Ben is there. She begs him to listen to her but he won’t hear it.
David tells Jack that Amanda will be locked up through trial with restricted visitation. Jack says he couldn’t get her to stand down and says they have to now prove that Victoria and others framed Amanda. He says the license plate on Margaux’s car is the same one that dropped off Mason at the trailer park. He says Margaux is in the middle of this. David says he’ll fill Amanda in when he visits her. Louise goes to Victoria’s penthouse to look around.
She hears a noise and opens the door. It’s Nolan! He accuses Louise of helping Victoria frame Amanda for murder. He asks how she could look at Victoria and not see who she really is and says she saw what she wanted. Nolan says it’s misplaced to see the best in someone like Victoria. He says she managed this whole thing and says Victoria was counting on Louise’s blind faith to help with it. She says Victoria was the only one who looked out for her. Louise kicks him out and threatens to call security.
Amanda tells David that Victoria is alive. He says they can’t know that. Amanda says it’s what she would do. David says the police confirmed the remains as Victoria. Then he tells her about Margaux’s car dropping Mason off. Amanda says she needs five minutes alone with her. David keels over and Amanda screams for help. They call for medical assistance. Nolan tells Jack that David is at home now and says they have no results yet from the tests.
Nolan says he can’t face the idea of losing him again but Jack wants to focus on the Amanda case. Daryl shows up and Jack introduces him. He’s private security now and came to help out. Margaux is at her jewelers looking for a necklace to wear to the funeral. Daryl is working at the shop and approaches Margaux when the metal detector goes off. She gets angry but there’s something in her purse. She slaps Daryl and they cuff her and take her into the back. Jack hands him a thick envelope of cash.
Daryl says he would have done it for free and rolls his eyes saying – rich people… Margaux is in a jail cell and is told she’ll be there overnight. She rants but they tell her that her lawyer didn’t answer. Amanda says she got framed at the worst possible time. Margaux accuses her of framing her and says she won’t talk to Amanda about this. Amanda unlocks her cell and then goes into Margaux’s cell. She says hurting her won’t change that she murdered Victoria.
Amanda says she knows she didn’t do it and asks whose body is in her house and where Victoria is. Amanda says she has 11 minutes alone with her which is four minutes longer than she’ll need. Amanda says she knows how to turn anything into a weapon. She has some steel keys and a battery and puts them in a sock and comes at her. She tells Margaux she brought this on herself. Amanda says her father is ill and she won’t spend his lasy days in jail. She tells Margaux she’s going to start with her cheekbones.
Louise is still at Victoria’s place poking around. She goes through her closet then sniffs a shawl. She says she hopes Victoria rests in peace. She finds a black article of clothing she recognizes from the “attack” on Victoria by “Amanda.” Amanda then calls Ben and says Victoria set up a fake body and says she switched her dental records with a woman named Mary Gaines. Ben tells her to just stop all this and says shes damaging her father and hurting the people who care about her.
Amanda says she’s sorry for the way she treated him and says she hasn’t been trustworthy before but says she knows how Victoria pulled this off. Ben says to tell him. She does. She says the night she gave the interview, the seed was planted. She says the world turned against Victoria and she read up on how to fake her death and get away. She tells him about the video and says without a body, it wouldn’t work. She found an unclaimed body in New Jersey that wouldn’t be missed.
She got Margaux to attack her in the garage to make it like like Amanda did it, then staged the fake assault in her penthouse with Mason’s help. She says she gave Mason to plant evidence in her car then messed up her own handwriting. Then she went to Amanda’s house, planted the dead body and put her ring on the dead woman’s finger. She says all this was to make Amanda look like the bigger monster. We see Victoria walking away calmly from the exploding house.
Ben asks where’s Victoria now and she says she doesn’t know. Ben says she fooled everyone on earth but Amanda. Ben says he doesn’t think Amanda knows how to tell the truth. He says that’s what makes Amanda dangerous. Amanda begs Ben to believe her this one time. Ben says he just doesn’t and hangs up the phone. Louise goes to see Ben the next day at the PD. She says she found something and didn’t know what to do. She hands him the bag and says it was in Victoria’s closet hidden in a garment bag.
He pulls out the hoodie and she asks if he recognizes it. He says it looks like the one she said Amanda was wearing when she was attacked. Louise asks what if Victoria killed herself and made it look like Amanda did it. Ben goes to New Jersey to look for the body of Mary Gaines. They tell him it’s still there unclaimed. He checks the drawer and it’s gone.
Margaux is released the next day pending arraignment. Louise is there and says she thinks Victoria lied to them and says she found the hoodie. Margaux insists that Amanda really attacked her. She says Nolan tried to sneak into the penthouse. Margaux says Nolan is a liar and asks Louise how many times she’ll fall for this. Margaux says Nolan planted the hoodie so Louise would find it. Louise says she played right into his hands.
Louise says she doesn’t feel good and Margaux says to go freshen up then she’ll take her home. Margaux calls someone and says she needs to retain their services urgently. David comes to see Amanda and says his cancer prognosis is worse. He says it’s in his brain then says they have to stop the chemo. He says it’s stage four and there’s no more ways to fight it. He says he has just a few months, maybe six if he’s lucky. Amanda is devastated and says doctors are wrong all the times.
He says he got a second opinion already and Amanda says she has money and so does Nolan and they can invest in helping him. David asks how did she learn to fight so hard. She begs him to tell her that they’ll fight this. He agrees. Ben goes to poke around at Mary Gaines’ house. He sees mail on the stoop and picks the lock. He goes inside and sees newspapers on the table and then hears a faucet turn on. He goes to check it out and it’s Victoria. He curses that she’s still alive. Then he’s stabbed.
It’s the assassin White Gold (aka guest star Courtney Love!!) and she’s wounded him. Victoria seems surprised to see her there.
