RECAP:

Parrish is resting on his couch looking at a deck of cards. Later, he’s sitting with Lydia in the station. She holds a lighter up to his palm. It burns him on the first try. Lydia tells him to try again and not to think about the flame, not too think about the pain. She holds it there for a long time before the flame gets too hot for her thumb. Parrish is unscathed. She says that his eyes sort of drifted. She asks him what he was thinking about. He says that he was thinking about a dream he’s been having over and over since he’s arrived in Beacon Hills. He’s been having this dream about carrying a burned body to a tree stump. Lydia tells him that it’s the Nematon, a beacon that draws supernatural creatures to it. Lydia asks him what happens in the rest of the dream. He says he doesn’t remember.

However, it appears that he does. He lays the burned body – it’s a woman’s body – on the tree stump. Things catch fire. Around the tree there are countless dead bodies.

—— seems to be a little time jump into the past

Donovan is still trapped in his jail cell. The three Dread Doctors visit him.

Theo, Scott, and Stiles arrive at the station. They see Lydia with her wound. Lydia’s mother returns and is distraught. Sirens begin blaring in the background.

Sheriff S, Stiles, Scott, and Deacon go into the basement to check on Malia and Tracy. She’s lying on the floor; however, she’s not transitioning back. Deacon wants to take the body. Sheriff S says no, but he ultimately agrees to this because he’s not sure how he’ll explain the existence of a young girl with a severed reptilian tail.

Meanwhile, the Dread Doctors are experimenting on Donovan. One of the docs says that his condition looks promising. The doc begins ripping out Donovan’s teeth. Soon, fangs, razor sharp, protrude from his gums. He’s changing.

Lydia is wheeled into the hospital. Her mother is by her side. Lydia mutters over and over again that she can’t tell anyone about what she saw.

Scott and the gang get to the hospital. Melissa asks if there are any other supernatural details she needs to worry about. They say no, but she was stabbed with the tail.

In surgery, Lydia’s asked to countdown from ten. As she does so, Lydia has a vision of the Dread Doctors working around her.

Malia and Stiles are in Stiles’s room writing information on his glass info board. He adds “masked men” to it. Malia walks over and erased “Desert Wolf.”

Scott and Kira get home. They start making out. But Deacon interrupts. He’s got info. He says that Tracy had the claws of a werewolf but the scales and venom of a kanima – and he’s curious how she managed to cross his circle of mountain ash, something no supernatural being should be able to do. He says since she was able to do this, then she’s not really supernatural at all. And if she wasn’t bitten, wasn’t born into the supernatural world, then she would have had to been “made.”

Deacon says that there must be some people in Beacon Hills who are blurring the lines between science and the supernatural. He says that he’ll be leaving for a few days, and Scott asks how scared they should be. Deacon says that he has lived in the supernatural world a long, long time and, despite that fact, he’s a man of science. He says that when something like this happens, “it shakes you to the core.” He says, “The rules have changed.”

Lydia wakes up in the hospital. Parrish is by her side. There’s a kung fu movie on and she asks Parrish if he’d be able to teach her how to fight.

Scott and the gang are in AP Bio having a heavyhanded and well-timed lecture on genetics, which gets them thinking deeper about there current supernatural dilemma. Sheriff Stilinski and one of his deputies examine security tape footage prior to his escape.

Theo is in the Dread Doctors’ layer and talking to Donovan. He says that he never got to be a cop like his dad; however, he’s got something else now. Power. Theo says that he could go after Sheriff Stilinski. But Theo tells him that physical pain can only take a person so far. He says that if he really wants to attack Stilinski, then he needs to go after someone he loves.

Scott, Malia, Stiles, and Kira are in the library looking through the Bestiary for any information on chimeras.

In the hospital, a young man comes in with a gruesome bite mark on his arm.

Mason and Liam are dressed up nice. They go to a nice little gay club called Sinema. Mason says that Liam is his wingman tonight. They see Brett there, too. Liam says that they don’t look old enough to be there.

Stiles is asleep int he library. Malia says she’s taking off and that she’ll meet him at home in a bit.

At Sinema, things are popping. Mason’s having drinks with Brett and Liam’s tuning into things acutely.

Scott and Kira get to the hospital to check out the recent bite victim. Melissa says that nothing they do helps his pain. Scott goes in there and says that he might be able to do something. He sucks out some of the guy’s pain but he can’t hold on for long.

Scott asks to see the wound, which Melissa says is a sting. She says that the lab said it was scorpion venom. He should’ve been dead about 10 hours ago and the scorpion that bit him would’ve been about ten feet tall.

The guy utters a name and says that it was Lucas.

Back at Sinema: Liam is talking to Brett. He asks if there’s anyone else there like them – you know, supernatural. Brett says that he’s not sure. Mason comes up to Brett and asks if he knows much about the brooding guy in the corner. Brett says, Yeah, sure. His name is Lucas. We see claw-like-spur things extend from his forearms.

Scott and Kira talk with the young guy who got stung. He said that he and Lucas were just taking things slow when he felt a sting. He said they were supposed to go to Club Sinema tonight.

Meanwhile, at Sinema, Liam is checking things out.

Lucas corners Mason and they kiss. As he kisses, the spurs protrude out of the guys flesh. Mason’s captivated but soon, Brett grabs Lucas and throws him across the room. Brett tells Mason to run!

Scott and Kira arrive. Brett and Lucas are fighting. He’s scraped by Lucas’s spurs. Lucas is about to get crushed when Liam jumps in and attacks Lucas. Scott and Kira make it to the scene. Kira pulls out her handy belt-sword. Pow!

Meanwhile, Malia is checking out the drawings in Tracy’s room, which is now a crime scene. She discovers a book. On it, there’s a note. It reads, “Here’s the book you asks for. Cheesy stuff, but still a fun, scary read.” The book is titled THE DREAD DOCTORS.

The gang eventually takes down Lucas. Kira’s about to deliver the final blow – kill him. She goes into full on kitsune mode. However, Scott stops her. Mason, Brett, and Liam look at her with surprised eyes. They’re sorta in awe of her power. Just after Scott asks if everyone is all right, Lucas is impaled with an arrow. The Dread Doctors have arrived to terminate their experiment.

Scott and everyone sees them. He asks, “Why did you do that?”

One of the doctors says that his condition was terminal.

Lucas’s body is shoved into the morgue at the hospital. As soon as Scott and Mama McCall leave, a guy walks in. Parrish.

We see him grab the body and deliver it to the Nematon to burn the body.

Stiles is having more Jeep troubles in the parking lot.

Donovan comes up behind him. He puts his hand – which has a razor-toothed mouth – on Stiles’s shoulder. Stiles screams in pain.
