The countdown is on for Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, on January 5th the reality TV star will be surrendering herself and checking in to prison. In 2014, Teresa Giudice and her hubby, Joe Giudice, both pled guilty to fraud related charges and were each sentenced to time in prison; however, the judge staggered their prison stints so that they could alternate caring for their four daughters. Although we have known for months now that Teresa Giudice is heading to prison, the reality of the situation is really beginning to set in as the hours tick down before the RHONJ star begins her 15 months behind bars.
According to the January 12th edition of OK! Magazine, Teresa GIudice’s federal prison sentencing is going to be a rude awakening for the reality TV star – and her celebrity status isn’t going to score her any special treatment, as a matter of fact it could actually make her a target for other inmates. OK! spoke to an inside source who did her own stint at the prison in Connecticut where Teresa Giudice will be serving her time and the ex-prisoner dished on what Teresa can expect life to be like in Danbury.
OK! Magazine’s insider revealed, “Teresa will be told when to get up, when to sleep, when she can shower, and when to eat. Fellow inmates and staff look down on white collar people because they feel that they had every advantage in life and they blew them. And if other inmates off her snacks or other items, she should be prepared to repay them or pay it forward.”
Despite the fact that in less than a week Teresa Giudice will be living behind bars, sources close to the RHONJ star say that the mother of four is still in denial over her looming prison stint and her main concern is what her hubby Joe will be up to while she is away. Do you think that Teresa Giudice will survive in federal prison? Does she really have a choice? Will the inmates bully her because of her celebrity status?
