The Walking Dead Season 6 Spoilers: Norman Reedus Spills on Daryl Dixon’s Death and Girlfriend

The Walking Dead Season 6 Spoilers: Norman Reedus Spills on Daryl Dixon's Death and Girlfriend

“The Walking Dead” season 6 spoilers discuss Norman Reedus and what the Daryl Dixon star had to say his death, about being killed off TWD, and getting a girlfriend. Fans of “The Walking Dead” have been clamoring to see a Daryl Dixon hookup since the first season of the show.

It seems that the “TWD” writers have been teasing viewers as Daryl has connected with a couple of women on the show but nothing romantic has ever come of it. Then there are the rumors that maybe Daryl is gay. In any case, Reedus said in a recent interview with Details magazine that a Daryl Dixon romance is unlikely and that yet again, Norman’s character is “last in line for love.”

We almost saw it happen with Beth (Emily Kinney) but then (spoiler alert) her character was killed off and fans were left wondering again if Daryl would ever connect. Daryl took it real hard and distanced himself from everyone after Beth died. This left fans to wonder if one of the biggest assets of the group was getting ready to venture out on his own.

There has always been some chemistry between Daryl and Carol (Melissa McBride) but it has never worked into anything beyond a great friendship. Those who are hoping for the biggest bad asses of “The Walking Dead” season 6 to finally become an item better not hold their breath.

Daryl Dixon has had ample opportunity to develop a romantic or even just a sexual relationship with women in his group. He is the rugged bad boy and he plays a leadership role. Women off-screen are throwing themselves at Reedus so why does his character get no love?

There has been speculation that Daryl Dixon might be gay. Norman Reedus and showrunner Scott M. Gimple have remained quiet on the issue. Instead, they have continued to let fans wonder about Daryl Dixon’s sexuality from season to season. Reedus doesn’t mind all the attention fans are giving to his character’s sex life. Norman said, “I like not going through that door one way or another. I like that mystery.”

According to Reedus, a Daryl Dixon death is much more likely than a romance. “The Walking Dead” is known for killing off some of their most popular characters. Reedus said in the Details interview, “They’ll kill me whenever they want. I would hate to leave the show. I would play this role until I’m 80, I really would. And I could.”

Despite fans’ threats to never watch the show again if Daryl Dixon is dead, don’t be surprised if one of the show’s most popular leading men meets his end before he meets his dream girl (or guy.) What will happen to the popular crossbow toting bad boy of “TWD”? Tune in for the season six premiere of “The Walking Dead” on Sunday, October 12, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
