“The Young and the Restless” spoilers tease that some explosive revelations are surfacing about the Paragon Project. Victor (Eric Braeden) was convinced that Jack (Peter Bergman) was out to get him through this top-secret operation. However, Jack denied any involvement and Victor was forced to consider other possibilities. Someone is obviously on a mission to bring down Newman Enterprises and possibly Jabot as well (at least according to The Moustache). The question is: who would have the means and motive to go after Victor? Y&R spoilers reveal that the man behind this mysterious plot may be none other than Joe Clark (Scott Elrod).
Chuck Pratt Jr., the head writer and co-executive producer of “The Young and the Restless,” recently gave some juicy details about this exciting storyline in an interview with Soap Opera Digest. It seems Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will become suspicious when she learns that Joe is still in town. After all, Avery (Jessica Collins) is long gone and Joe doesn’t really have any other ties to Genoa City. Why is Joe choosing to linger? Phyllis will think she has a pretty good idea. Marco (Peter Bergman) found an ally in Detective Harding (Chris McKenna) and Phyllis will believe he might have another one lurking around.
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) once dated Joe in New York and she’ll sense that Phyllis might be onto something. Joe had a deal that went south when Victor backed out of the warehouse project. It appears Joe could be out for revenge and this scheme would be the perfect way to do it. Pratt noted that Joe is an opportunist who “still thinks there is more to squeeze out of Genoa City.” The rumors hint that Joe plans on beating Victor at his own game.
Of course, Joe likely has more than just business on his mind. That brief fling with Lily (Christel Khalil) may not be entirely in the past. Joe is a good-looking guy and a very smooth talker. Genoa City’s gents need to be on high alert when it comes to their women. Pratt said, “Some of our men better lock up their wives, because when Joe sets his mind to something—or on someone—let’s just say he can be VERY determined!” Stick with “The Young and the Restless” for updates on Joe’s next move.
