‘19 Kids And Counting’s’ spin-off ‘Jill And Jessa: Counting On’ could be adding a few more members to the cast. Looks like Josh Duggar’s sex scandals haven’t destroyed the family yet. While the internet continues to speculate as to whether Jill Duggar is pregnant, Jessa Duggar has confirmed that she and Ben are adding to their family, which already consists of 5 month old baby Spurgeon. But, Jessa is not pregnant – she is adopting!
Rumors have been floating around for quite a while that Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald were looking in to adoption. And, the news was recently confirmed by US Weekly Magazine. Jessa sat down with US Weekly to discuss her and Ben’s plans to expand their family and revealed that they are submitting their paperwork and waiting for a home study to be done.
Jessa dished to US Weekly Magazine, “We have many friends who have walked this road, so we have seen firsthand the amazing power of adoption. There are so many kids out there who are longing for the love of a family, and we feel strongly about opening our hearts and our home to welcome them in.”
When asked how many kids she and her husband Ben Seewald planned to adopt, Jessa was vague. The ‘Counting On’ star explained, ““It’s not really about any specific number, but cherishing and loving the ones God brings us — whether that be just one, or whether it be more, we’ll be grateful.”
Seeing as how controversial the Duggar Family has become over the past year – not to mention the fact that Jessa stood by her brother Josh Duggar after he was accused of molesting her, Jessa and Ben could have a hard time convincing any family to let them adopt their children and raise them the “Duggar Way.”
