Amal Alalmuddin is apparently forcing her husband, George Clooney, to cut ties with his former good pal Brad Pitt. Knowing what good friends Brad and George once were, Amal thinks it would be best if they keep away from Brangelina’s toxic divorce.
According to Naughty Gossip, Amal purposely had George Clooney buy her a new Manhattan condo in New York City as a second wedding anniversary gift simply because she wants to distance him from all the drama that is occurring in Los Angeles with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
Amal never liked Angelina Jolie to begin with, simply because she viewed her as a try-hard celebrity humanitarian who simply didn’t have the same credentials or status she has as an international human rights lawyer. Plus, there could only be one beautiful female humanitarian in the spotlight, and it’s no doubt that Amal felt threatened by Angelina’s Hollywood looks and appeal.
But now that the actress has publicly dragged her husband in the mud with her nasty smear campaign against him, Amal has another good reason to keep George as far away from Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as possible. Sure, Amal loves attention, but she wants nothing to do with the embarrassing tabloid fodder Brangelina have put themselves in these last few weeks.
It’s needless to say that Brad is heavily relying on his close family and friends right now to get him through one of the darkest periods he’s ever seen in his life. Brad and George have always been best friends both on and off the big screen, and because of Amal, they’ve been forced apart.
Plus, it’s not just Brad and Angelina that Amal has a problem with, as she’s been trying to distance George from his good pal Rande Gerber and his supermodel wife, Cindy Crawford. Each time the two couples are seen in public, Amal always appears tense and uncomfortable with Cindy. Simply put, Amal doesn’t want anything to do with the circle of friends George had before they got married. That’s why she’s doing everything in her power to keep George out of Hollywood, even if it means moving halfway around the world.
