Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney are apparently desperate to prove to the world that they are indeed a happily married couple. That’s why there’s a new report that says the celebrity couple are doing ‘absolutely great’ even though they didn’t celebrate their second wedding anniversary earlier this month.
Knowing how image-obsessed both Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney are, especially when it comes to the public’s opinion about their marriage, the couple is putting in an extra effort in trying to convince everyone that they are not the next Hollywood couple to call it quits. In fact, ever since Angelina Jolie pulled the plug on her marriage to Brad Pitt with her surprise divorce announcement, Amal and George have been extra affectionate with one another in public and even held hands at a UN roundtable meeting.
Surely, George and Amal didn’t have to put their love on display for the cameras while discussing important matters like refugee crisis, but that’s exactly what they did.
Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney can cast each other adoring looks all they want in public, but sooner or later the truth about their PR marriage will definitely come out. It’s been long speculated that the couple got married simply because George needed a beautiful, but intelligent, brunette by his side should he want to enter the political sphere in the future. Amal is clearly using the actor to help promote herself as the celebrity world’s most glamorous human rights lawyer.
Yet, according to Naughty Gossip, George and Amal’s marriage is as perfect as it can be. One source even dished, “They look more in love than ever. They are still in honeymoon mode,” while adding that they try not to spend too much time apart with their hectic work schedules. Didn’t we just hear the same thing from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie? Or Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts for that matter? George and Amal can fool the public all the want, but almost no celebrity marriage has a chance of surviving these days.
