America’s Got Talent Recap 7/27/16: Season 11 Episode 13 "Live Results 1"

Tonight on NBC America’s Got Talent returns with an all new Wednesday, July 27, Season 11 episode 13 called “Live Results 1”, and we’ve got your America’s Got Talent recap down below! On tonight’s episode winning acts advance in a results installment.

On the last episode, twelve competed in the first LIVE show with Golden Buzzer- Laura Bretan, fan favorite comedian-Lori Mae Hernandez, Philadelphia Eagles player/magician- Jon Dorenbos and more, back to win America’s vote for a coveted spot in the Semifinals. On tonight’s episode per the NBC synopsis,  “America finds out, which acts are going to the semifinals, with judges Mel B, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel. Nick Cannon Hosts.”

Tonight’s live results show will reveal the five finalists who will continue in the competition based on the highest number of viewer votes.

The show begins with the reveal of the three “Dunkin’ Save” acts who are in jeopardy of being cut, giving viewers thirty minutes to submit votes to save them: Deadly Games, Hara and Lori Mae Hernandez are now at the mercy of the viewers.

The first act to continue to the semi-finals is singing group Musicality, who has impressed the judges with their talent and message of positivity. Dorothy Williams, the 90-year-old dancer, was cut from the competition. Singers Jayna Brown and Laura Bretan also both received a spot in the semi-finals.

Next, past season winners were brought back to display the talents that won them acclaim and one million dollars: season 10 winner Paul Zerdin performed his puppet act and season 9 winner Matt Franco performed his magic and illusion routine.

Both Daniel Joyner and the Outlawz failed to receive the necessary amount of viewer votes and were cut from the competition. The next act chosen by viewers to continue to the semi-finals is magician Jon Dorenbos. Tape Face is also continuing on to the semi-finals, while dancers Sila Sveta failed to receive the necessary votes. The act chosen in the “Dunkin’ Save” round is tween comedian, Lori Mae Hernandez, while both Deadly Games and Hara will not be continuing in the competition.

The five acts continuing to the semi-finals are: Lori Mae Hernandez, Musicality, Jayna Brown, Laura Bretan, Jon Dorenbos and Tape Face.
