“Days of Our Lives” (DOOL) spoilers reveal that there’s something strange going on with Jade (Paige Searcy). DOOL viewers have been puzzled by Jade’s sudden appearance in Joey’s (James Lastovic) life as well as her demeanor around his family.
At first, Jade just appeared to be a quirky girl who was brought in as a love interest for Joey. However, we’re starting to wonder if there’s more to the story.
Jade came on the scene shortly before Joey killed Ava (Tamara Braun). She quickly earned Joey’s trust and he opened up to her about his family’s struggles. Joey even confessed to Ava’s murder, which resulted in an oddly enthusiastic response from Jade.
When Jade met Steve, her obvious fangirling was bizarre. She told Steve he “rocked the patch” and she even said she’d kill to have a dad like him. Jade’s weird comments are leading some “Days of Our Lives” spoilers to speculate that Jade is actually the lost-lost child of Steve and Ava.
Ava and Steve supposedly had a son who died, but it’s possible that the info was wrong. Maybe the baby was actually a daughter and she was sold. Here’s the only problem: Joey and Jade are making out every chance they get.
Since Jade is acting like she knows exactly what’s up, it’s tough to believe that she’d knowingly be all over her brother.
Admittedly, “Days of Our Lives” has dabbled in somewhat incestuous relationships before. Still, this would be kind of a slap in the face to Joey. He already can’t be paired with Ciara (Vivian Jovanni) or Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan). Would they really make the new girl related to him, too?
Of course, there’s an easy explanation to get around this. Since every word out of Ava’s mouth was a lie, there’s a good possibility that Steve wasn’t even the father. If Jade is just Ava’s daughter and not Steve’s, we don’t have to worry about crossing any icky lines.
Joey was also suspicious when Jade seemed to know more about Ava than she let on. What if Jade felt abandoned and was secretly longing for revenge until Joey stepped up? Maybe Jade knew that Ava had an obsession with Steve and wanted to reel him back in with a fib that he fathered her child.
Now Jade could be cozying up to Joey in an effort to get closer to Steve. He could be the dad Jade wishes she could’ve had.
“Days” viewers have been buzzing on social media about how much Jade looks like Ava. Was that an intentional casting move on DOOL’s part? Time will tell, but there’s something off about this chick. Whether she’s Ava’s daughter or not, Jade is going to be trouble. Stick with the NBC soap for updates on Jade’s next move.
