Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Wednesday, August 31, tease that it’ll be a tough day for Abigail’s (Kate Mansi) loved ones. They’ll try to say goodbye and find a way to move on. Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) recently relapsed after her grief became too much to bear. Her family and friends will hope to prevent another dangerous incident.
Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), Adrienne (Judi Evans), Doug (Bill Hayes) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) will all show up to support Jennifer as she pushes past this tragedy. Days spoilers suggest that they’ll reflect on Abigail’s passing and the joy she brought to the lives of those around her. Jennifer will urge Jack (Matthew Ashford) to take care of their little girl.
Meanwhile, Chad (Billy Flynn) will struggle to let go of his dreams. When Chad married Abigail, he thought they would grow old together. He wanted to cherish each and every moment for years to come. Now Chad feels like there’s no hope left. DOOL spoilers indicate that Chad will bid farewell to Abigail and the future he longed for.
Chad will continue to mourn over the next couple of weeks, but he’ll finally learn to cope. It appears Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Gabi (Camila Banus) will help Chad weather the storm. They know a thing or two about grief. In fact, Days of Our Lives spoilers say they’ll visit Will’s (Guy Wilson) grave in Wednesday’s episode.
Sonny’s loss has affected him profoundly. He’s not quite the gentle spirit he once was. However, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Sonny now boldly takes a stand for what he feels is right, even if it means throwing out the rulebook. In Salem, that’s definitely an acceptable way to look at things.
Nearly everyone in town plays dirty. It’s what it takes to survive on Days of Our Lives! Of course, Sonny still has a sweet side that when it comes to Arianna (Sydnee and Harper Udell). He’ll be sure to help Gabi keep Will’s memory alive. They both want Ari to know all about her father.
Marci Miller will debut as Abigail this November, so Chad will get a second chance with his love. What about Sonny? Could he get another opportunity well? It’s possible that all of these Will mentions and grave sightings are anvils. Perhaps they’re signaling Will’s eventual return from the “dead.”
We saw Will killed on screen, but that means nothing on Days. An evil doppelganger is a classic solution. If that was merely a lookalike sent in by Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) or someone else with a grudge, Will may not be dead after all. We haven’t heard any confirmation yet, but it’s something to think about…
In the meantime, Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) will get some guidance from her mother. She’s stuck in a romantic mess. Claire really likes Theo (Kyler Pettis), but it’s obvious that he wants Ciara (Vivian Jovanni).
Belle (Martha Madison) will offer her best advice, but Claire’s problems won’t be solved. She’ll soon spot Ciara and Theo bonding again. Does Claire even have a shot with Theo as long as Ciara’s around? We’ll give you updates as more news comes in.
