Drake Bell is facing jail time for his most recent run in with the law where he was arrested for DUI on December 21, 2015 in Glendale, CA. Yes, that was an early Christmas gift for his parents. Sweet, isn’t it? Drake Bell was reported to have refused to have BAC taken at the time of his arrest.
What happened to this guy anyhow? I remember his days when he was cute as a button on his Nickelodeon show, Drake and Josh. Now you look at him and wonder where he went wrong?
The actor who will be turning 30 in June this year started down his troubled road in December 2005 (right after Christmas this time) when he got into a car wreck on the Pacific Coast Highway in California when another vehicle ran a red light causing a head on collision with the actor. He was lucky to come out of that mess alive, after suffering from a broken jaw, he lost 7 teeth, a fractured neck and vertebrae.
Fast forward to 2007 when Drake Bell dropped over $2 million on a home in Loz Feliz and seemed to be doing well. Jump to 2009 when Bell was charged with his first DUI in San Diego, CA. Things are really going south for the guy at this point.
He then filed for bankruptcy in 2014 and his lovely home was foreclosed on. Bell was allegedly in deep debt in the range of a half million dollars.
This must have taken a real toll on Bell seeing as how he hasn’t had much work and now he’s tainted his reputation with another ugly DUI with his arrest in Glendale, CA. The struggling actor was allegedly driving recklessly and going 20 mph over the speed limit. He was released after that arrest on $20,000 bail.
TMZ reports that with this being his second DUI arrest, Drake Bell will be heading to jail for a minimum of four day and will lose his driver’s license, along with paying fines, and likely serve some time doing community service.
All I can say is, pull yourself together Drake Bell! There is still hope for you yet if you would just clean up your act. You wouldn’t be the first actor in Hollywood to screw up royally and then make a big comeback.
