Daytime host Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi were all plastic smiles and holding hands as they made their way to the Wimbledon Ladies Finals in England on Saturday, July 9. It looks like these two are once again doing some major damage control following reports of Ellen’s uncontrollable flirting with Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon and her relentless need to have complete control of de Rossi, who may be leaving her wife for a man according to recent reports.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were seen strolling arm and arm through the highly covered tennis event. De Rossi dawned a very feminine black and white dress with printed bibbed front while Ellen wore a grey suit with printed top, looking sleek and stylish. Both wore their blonde hair short and styled with sunglasses, shielding their eyes from the public and the sun.
Ellen DeGeneres is currently working the promotional circuit for her in theater hit Finding Dory. She is due to attend the UK gala screening of the family feature in the British capital on Sunday. Making an appearance at Wimbledon with Portia de Rossi clutched at her side makes sense.
The troubled couple sat in the royal box next to former World No. 1 tennis champion Billie Jean King and her partner Ilana Kloss. DeGeneres and de Rossi were seen exchanging conversations with the two in betweens bouts of dramatic laughter.
At one point de Rossi could be seen sitting back with a look of annoyance and pursed lips as Ellen laughed wildly with King. Was de Rossi annoyed with Ellen’s blatant flirting once again? The happy couple started out strong, but was quickly looking annoyed with one another by the end of the tennis match.
Besides chatting with Billie Jean King and Ilana Kloss, Ellen and Portia also stopped to talked to Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams in the stands. The couple was most likely chatting up Williams about her new blue hair, a trending and very popular topic for GOT fans across the globe.
Serena Williams did take the win, sending Ellen into screams of excitement in the stands. Following the match, Ellen made time to tweet to Serena. “Congratulations, @SerenaWilliams! This tweet is just in case you couldn’t hear me scream it from the stands. #Wimbledon,” she wrote.
Serena later replied to Ellen’s congratulations on her win. @TheEllenShow loved seeing you! You were loud and I loved it!!
Next month, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are set to celebrate their 8th wedding anniversary together. Will they make it to the big day or is Ellen’s flirting, terrible treatment and control issues all too much for the Arrested Development actress to handle any longer? We’re guessing additional fake smiles and PDA are on the horizon as Ellen finishes out the Finding Dory promo tour!
