Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi are on the verge of a divorce again (or still). Despite years of turmoil, the couple has somehow managed to defy all odds and remain married, until now. It seems that Ellen and Portia are hanging on by a thread at this point, and barely on speaking terms. According to a new report from In Touch Magazine, the root of all the couple’s problems stems back to one thing … a baby.
Portia de Rossi desperately wanted to become a mother and have a baby of her own. But, Ellen DeGeneres is not having it, and she has stated on more than one occasion publicly that she has no desire to have children. Neither woman seems willing to budge, and Ellen and Portia have quite the dilemma on their hands. Basically, if Portia wants children, she is going to have to move on from Ellen. Will she choose kids over her wife?
An inside source dished to In Touch Magazine, “Portia has always dreamed of becoming a mother and desperately wants to try to carry the child herself. But Ellen is absolutely opposed to it. Portia first brought up the topic in an attempt to save their crumbling eight-year marriage. But all it’s done is tear the couple further apart.”
The magazine’s source added, “No matter how many times they talk about it, they just can’t seem to come to an agreement. Everyone is worried they will split up over this.”
Honestly, Ellen and Portia have been fighting over baby plans for as long as we can remember.
