New General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that when Franco (Roger Howarth) made the promise to Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) that he would never intentionally hurt her, he had no idea that his pledge would be put to the test so soon – and it’s all about Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig).
Hayden’s mom Naomi Dreyfus (Robin Riker) just got a call from Heather Webber (Robin Riker) from her prison home and asked Naomi to drop by for a chat. You’ll remember that Heather knows the secret of Hayden’s paternity and that she’s not Raymond Berlin’s daughter.
Heather also revealed to Franco that she’s keeping a secret about Jeff Webber (Richard Dean Anderson) and has been paid money to keep it – she even shared some of her ill-gotten loot with Franco. GH spoilers reveal that Franco will soon find out exactly what that secret is.
But we have to wonder if Heather will spill the beans to Franco – or if he’ll figure it out on his own. Naomi agreed to come see Heather in prison and, no doubt, Heather will tell Naomi to keep the money coming or she’ll spill the secret. Naomi already said she can’t afford to keep paying.
Naomi doesn’t have big Berlin bucks anymore. It could be that Franco will see Naomi leaving the jail from her visit with Heather and put two and two together. Even if Franco figures it out for himself, Heather will still confirm the truth for Franco if he asks.
Either way, Franco will know very soon that Hayden and Liz are secret sisters and he has to decide what to do with this information. The problem is, telling and NOT telling the truth both have the potential to hurt Liz so he has to weigh things out.
This will be further complicated because General Hospital spoilers reveal that Hayden and Liz will have a nasty scene at the hospital soon and Hayden slaps her sister in the face as part of a bitter argument. Then, when Liz is shoved down the stairs, Hayden is the prime suspect.
Franco will run to Liz’s side as she’s admitted to GH for treatment for her fall. This is the crucial time for Franco to decide that he needs to tell the truth and can’t hold back any longer. Liz will be furious at Hayden and scared that the Cassadine widow shoved her down the stairs.
The reformed serial killer may even play peacemaker between the women. We could see also see Franco tell Hayden the truth to try to get the sisters on the same page. Franco knows that Liz feels somewhat alone in Port Charles since she doesn’t have parents or siblings in town.
This was made more apparent when Nikolas Cassadine “died” and Liz really felt his absence. But now Liz has Franco since she decided to move forward with their relationship – and soon she’ll discover she has a secret sister – even if it’s someone she hates…
If you remember old-school GH history back when Liz was a teen, she and big sister Sarah Webber didn’t always get along and were often rivals. It was only after Liz’s rape that she and Sarah really got close and bonded but now Sarah seems to be gone for good.
Similarly, Liz will go through a trauma – when she’s shoved down a flight of stairs at GH – and this may be the pivotal incident that gets Hayden and Liz to accept their sister status and bond. Franco will play a key part in all of this as he helps the duo adjust to their new reality.
