“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers show a further confrontation coming between Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) and Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher). A new video promo made it look like it was Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason, but that was an editing trick. It’s Nik that Jason is after.
In fact, Sonny and Jason are going to be on separate tracks entirely for the next week’s episodes with little (or no) overlap. Sonny is focused on pursuing Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey V Parise) to take down Julian Jerome (William deVry) and is partnered with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Jason, however, is focused on ELQ and the revelation that Nikolas had Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) shot. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will try to embroil Jason in Sonny’s drama in coming days, but both Jason and Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) will shut that down.
Jason told Sam he wants to get ELQ back for his family and that’s what he intends to do. Jason now knows that Nikolas is both the problem and the solution. It was Nikolas that took ELQ from the Quartermaines and it will be Nikolas that Jason uses to get it back.
Sam and Jason both see Nikolas for the greedy, power hungry monster that he is – but when Sam went to confront Nikolas, she actually made things much worse on Jason. The brawl at Wyndemere has now given Nikolas some leverage to fight back against Jason – and helped Hayden out too.
Jason tried to kill Nikolas in front of two witnesses in a fit of rage – Hayden and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) can testify to that. Not only that, since Jason threw Nikolas off the MetroCourt balcony, that could make him look even worse if new charges are brought.
Before, Jason saw Nikolas as wealthy, spoiled and arrogant – but now he sees Nikolas as a criminal who bruised up his wife Sam. Jason will make Nikolas “an offer he can’t refuse.” That offer will likely be give back ELQ to my family or I’ll kill you.
Before the fight, Jason could have threatened to go to the cops. But since he brutally beat Nikolas and almost choked him to death, Jason is now at risk of jail himself. By Sam going over there angry, she screwed up Jason’s options when it comes to dealing with Nikolas.
But since Sam and Jason are back in bed together – literally – he’ll let her rash mistake go. Nikolas is trapped between Hayden and Jason – with no way to get out of this mess he’s made for himself. If he signs ELQ over to Hayden, Jason could kill him.
And if Nikolas signs ELQ over to Jason, Hayden may send him to jail (and Curtis may break a few of his bones). Either way, Nikolas will lose ELQ – faces jail – and could also face death at the hands of Jason. What will he do?
In a twist of fate, will it be Hayden that steps up to protect Nikolas from Jason? Nikolas has ELQ, but both Hayden and Jason have leverage to take it from him. Yet Nikolas also has dirt on both Jason and Hayden. With Jason, it’s the attempted murder and with Hayden, it’s the truth of her identity.
Now that Sam goaded Nikolas and Jason attacked him, Jason can’t use the murder evidence or he risks jail too. All that Jason has left is his capacity for violence. Will Nikolas cave to the offer he can’t refuse and sign his ELQ stock back to the Qs?
Or will Jason have to beat him into submission? Will Curtis step in to defend Nik? He did that once and got beat up too. Curtis told Hayden that Jason is positively lethal and he’s exactly right. How brutal will Jason get in order to get ELQ back to his family?
