New General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) could be heading back to Port Charles for November sweeps. There is lots of action going on right now that would be a perfect storm to bring back Luke for a visit after his exit that left many fans dissatisfied and wanting more. So what could bring Luke back to town?
First is the funeral of Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig). Since Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is Luke’s niece and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is Luke’s close friend, attending the funeral would be appropriate. Plus some General Hospital spoilers hint that someone unexpected will show up at the funeral. Could it be Luke?
Second is that Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) just got engaged and will be getting remarried again soon. Given how often Luke has disappointed Lulu, it would be a huge game changer for him to show up to give her away at her upcoming wedding to Dante. That could make up for a lot.
Third is that there is more Cassadine Island action coming. Recent GH spoilers reveal that Lulu and Dante will get life-changing information soon that the embryo wasn’t destroyed as Daphne told them at the PCPD. In fact, the child has been gestated and birthed and they will find this out soon and set out to reclaim Lulu’s child.
Given Luke’s decades of experiences dealing with Cassadine intrigue, he’d be the perfect person to help them sort out this mess that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) left for them. He also knows the island having spent time there and understands the criminal side of the Cassadine family organization. He could be an asset in this mystery.
Finally, there’s the issue with Valentin Cassadine (James Stuart). Valentin is making trouble in Port Charles and won’t be stopping anytime soon. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) might need to call on Luke’s knowledge and skills to help defeat this new villain that’s poised to make trouble for everyone that Anna cares about. Could Luke help defeat Valentin?

Anthony Geary said he was open to a return to General Hospital for a story arc that was meaningful but said he wouldn’t drop by for just a birth or something like that. But with a confluence of events like is happening now, it would be a heightened time to bring back Luke for a multi-episode arc.
Recent GH news shows that Anthony Geary just cut another tie with LA when he sold his California home this month. Surely he has to return to wrap up loose ends with his real estate so he may have an additional excuse to be in LA and could drop by ABC Prospect Studios to shoot some episodes. Geary has also been promoting a short film he shot in LA called “The Obituary” – another reason to be in LA.
