New General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will figure out that Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) is spiraling because Ava Jerome (Maura West) tampered with his medication. Carly will attack her with all the fury of a mother bear protecting her cub.
Carly knows Morgan is taking his meds – she even witnessed him taking his pills, so it doesn’t make sense to Carly why he’s spinning out. Yet Morgan clearly is heading off the rails. He’s ranting, enrolling in college full-time out of the blue, and is in an obvious manic state.
But all Carly knows, at first, is that Morgan is medicating yet still heading down a dark and troublesome path. It will be Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) that gives Carly the clue she needs to know that it’s Ava that has targeted Morgan and is putting his life at risk.
Remember that day that Ava swapped Morgan’s meds? She came by the house to pick up baby Avery and was allowed to go upstairs. But instead of going to Avery’s room, she stopped by Morgan’s room and swapped out his pills while no one was around.
Carly wasn’t around when Ava came back downstairs but Nelle was. Ava told Nelle she decided to let Avery sleep and said she’d come back to pick her up tomorrow. That means Nelle is the only one that knows how long Ava was upstairs and when she left the house.
Nelle clearly has an agenda with Carly and this is a perfect opportunity to help Carly out and provide her some important information. When Nelle tells Carly how long Ava was upstairs and that she was acting suspicious, that will be all Carly needs to decide Ava is to blame.
This will give Nelle more value in Carly’s eyes because it looks like Nelle is watching out for the Corinthos crew. With this information, Carly will go and confront Ava. Carly won’t tell Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) what she suspects at first.
Carly wants Sonny to back off the violence and she knows Sonny might go over and shoot Ava dead. So Carly will go confront Ava and General Hospital spoilers tease that this will turn into an all-out brawl. Ava can’t ever hold back and will get nasty with Carly.
That’s when Carly will snap and attack Ava. Remember that epic catfight between Ava and Carly at the holiday gala? They wrecked the bathroom when Ava tried to get the sex tape flash drive back from Carly? That fight will look like a love-fest compared to this one.
This time, it’s Carly literally fighting for the life of her son – and there is no telling what she will do to Ava. Carly isn’t the type to pull a gun on someone. Instead, expect to see Carly wrapping her hands around Ava’s throat to choke the life out of her.
The last time Morgan bottomed out, Sonny had to literally talk Morgan off a ledge. Carly and Sonny almost lost their son and know this is a life and death matter for Morgan. They won’t take lightly that Ava has selfishly sabotaged Morgan and sent him down a dark path.
What’s interesting is that Carly has been pressuring Sonny to back off violence as an answer to his problems. But when Carly finds out what Ava has done to her son, she will resort to violence. But no one will blame Carly when she tries to throttle Ava.
