New General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) will have a rough pregnancy and will give birth far too early to a premature baby. Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) and Sam have a rough road ahead on their quest for baby number two.
GH writers Shelly Altman and Jean Passanante told ABC Soaps in Depth that Sam’s pregnancy journey would not be an easy one. When she begins having cramps in coming days, both Sam and Jason will panic that her pregnancy is at risk.
Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahn) is on hand and panics. She’s in no shape to deal with Sam losing her grandchild. Fortunately, GH insiders say that’s not how it plays out. Sam has had pregnancy troubles before and this is one more example.
The writers do not plan on reviving the tragedy of Sam’s stillbirth of little Lila or a miscarriage trauma. As we know from soaps, these are overdone plots but a preemie baby is something fresh for General Hospital that we haven’t seen in a while.
With the JaSam storyline pretty slow lately and them off-screen more than on, this will be a nice change and will offer them the opportunity to bond in this crisis. The real drama kicks off when Sam is told her pregnancy is high-risk.
From there, it will be a combination of stress and joy as her pregnancy progresses. She’s still got halfway to go but Sam is almost at the point that a baby can survive if born now, so the early birth drama could kick off at any moment.
Praying for the well-being of their child will give Jason and Sam greater depth as soul mates. This ordeal should also put to rest any hope that Liason fans have for Jason to get back with Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst).
Liason is dead – long live JaSam (at least for the foreseeable future). This challenge will see Sam worry that Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) curse is real since she cursed Sam, ones she loves and any children she has.

Jason and Sam went through the ordeal of losing baby Lila together since Jason was playing daddy even though the little girl was hers with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). This scenario will likely play out so that Jason and Sam are scared it is déjà vu.
They will be afraid their child has been born too early and its life is at risk. This will offer some poignant moments for the actors and nail-biting stress for GH fans. But fear not, GH writers have assured fans that Jason and Sam will get to bring their child home.
