General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, December 29 reveal that the Naxie wedding is a bust on many fronts. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is knocked out on cold medicine and Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) is still married to Claudette Bolland (Bree Williamson) so nothing works right.
Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) and Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) don’t know yet about Nathan’s other wife problems – they’re in a panic over sleeping beauty Maxie. Robin is determined to revive Maxie and says she’ll make sure she’s up and alert for the wedding, but what can she do?
Does Robin have a syringe of adrenaline because Maxie is out cold and drooling on her wedding makeup? Nathan is in a panic as he tells Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) the bad news. Turns out Nathan was right to have a bad feeling about the wedding because it’s not happening.
Downstairs at the MetroCourt main area, Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) meets up with Valentin Cassadine (James Stuart) before the wedding. He looks dapper in his tuxedo and then breaks the hard news to her that Lulu is suing him for sole custody of Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).
Nina is devastated but not surprised that Lulu is pulling this stunt. Lulu told Robin she’ll for sure win custody since she’s married and has a stable two-parent home. But Valentin might compete with her when he makes a New Year’s Eve vow to Nina.
GH spoilers tease that Valentin and Nina will take advantage of the ready-to-go wedding and get hitched. If Nina has any reservations about Valentin, those fly out the window because she wants to be an official mother to Charlotte, even if it is a step-mother title.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) relents and decides to spend New Year’s Eve with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and they kiss but Carly worries and wonders if Sonny can ever change his ways. She tells him she has to walk away.
Also at the MetroCourt, Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) runs into Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and they toast the coming of 2017. GH spoilers indicate that Jordan offers Curtis an opportunity to work with the PCPD. Does she want to hire him as a cop, a consultant, or something else?
Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) will show up and it seems like him and Jordan are back on track. Jordan has three little words to tell Andre before the night is through. Dillon Quartermaine (Robert Watkins) and Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) are still on the bus.
They each admit they were leaving town because of the other and decide maybe this is fate. Will they share a New Year’s kiss on the bus? Will they head to LA or get off in Detroit and fly back to Port Charles? Is there a less romantic place to celebrate New Year’s than a grungy bus?
Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) confronts Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) about the pill that she found in Sonny’s bedroom. Bobbie thinks it’s a smoking gun but it’s just a pill and Nelle was at the house regularly taking care of Avery so dropping a pill anywhere is plausible.
Nelle will explain herself but Bobbie remains on alert about the newcomer. Bobbie sure isn’t grateful that Nelle’s kidney saved her granddaughter’s life, is she? Nelle gives it back to Bobbie with both barrels and asks her why she’s always treating her like she’s done something wrong.
Will Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) refuse to take Nelle’s no for an answer? GH spoilers reveal the two wind up together on New Year’s Eve. If they kiss, at least that confirms Nelle isn’t his sister (we hope). But if Nelle turns away, that’s a big hint she’s related to Carly as if the rattle wasn’t enough of a clue.
