“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers reveal that Dixon (Troy Ruptash) made a misstep when he assumed that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was a sitting duck in his wheelchair. Sonny will stun everyone by how he responds to Dixon taking him hostage at gunpoint.
As of now, very few people know that Sonny can stand and walk – there’s Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy), Max Giambetti (Derk Cheetwood) and Dr Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen). But everyone else is in the dark that he’s 100% cured – so when he stands to fight back, it’s a stunner.
Dixon assumes that Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) was on the docks interfering with his gun deal on orders of Sonny. He has no clue that the two are at odds and that Sonny doesn’t let his kids near his mob biz. But when Dixon comes to the church, it’s more likely Ava Jerome (Maura West) he’s seeking.
Dixon warned Ava that if the gun deal went bad, he was coming for her. But then when he finds Sonny there sitting in the aisle in his wheelchair, the gun runner sees it as a perfect opportunity to make Sonny pay for Morgan’s actions.
The initial response to Dixon holding him at gunpoint is that Sonny will sit tight and wait like a cobra coiled to strike. Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), on the other hand, makes a move immediately to stop the gun runner from shooting up the wedding.
However, Nathan will be injured – but not fatally – but enough that he’s out of commission for this fight. GH spoilers also indicate that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) may be on hand at the church when this goes down.
GH spoilers reveal that she tries to calm down a situation, but it’s not clear whether she’s on the docks or at the church. But someone – whether it’s Anna, the bride or groom, Ava, or another guest – will distract Dixon’s attention away from Sonny and then BAM!
Of course, Dixon isn’t worried about keeping too close an eye on Sonny since he thinks he’s a helpless cripple. So when Sonny stands and fights back, everyone will be shocked, most of all Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) when she hears the news.
Spoilers place Carly at the docks tending to Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) after she’s shot thanks to Morgan’s erratic actions, but word will get back to her soon and there will be hell to pay. Sonny will come out of this looking like a hero to many, but to Carly, it’s clear that Sonny is a liar who doesn’t trust her.
Sonny may take Dixon down, but he may also be taking down his own marriage by playing possum all these weeks. It’s not clear whether Dixon survives this confrontation – no doubt Sonny is packing heat to the wedding – but he will be taken down, and possibly out, for underestimating his mob rival.
