On General Hospital Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is so tormented by her partial memory of someone whistling an eerie tune in a deserted WSB hallway that she’s ready to go all in and be put under. The secret agent believes that the melancholy memory is connected to cryptic Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and that the truth will set her free.
But a wild new GH spoiler reveals that hypnosis will reveal a truth so shocking that Anna doubts her own sanity. What past devastation led her to repress her memories all these years?
Every day Anna inches forward in her quest to uncover Valentin’s true identity. She’s sure that they share a past, but can’t quite put her finger on how or why. Reinforcing her conviction is Valentin’s own creepy way of sneaking up and whispering familiar Latin riddles in her ear, or humming the eerie melody under his breath.
Her latest clue to their connection centers on a picture of Anna as a young trainee smiling in front of the WSB emblem. Her super-sleuth granddaughter Emma (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) nabbed the pic from Valentin’s house and he was incensed when it turned up missing. Guess he didn’t save it to the cloud, huh?
Once he simmered down, the raspy voiced villain told his girlfriend Nina (Michelle Stafford) that the picture had sentimental value, and also represented unfinished business. Then he clammed up leaving Nina to complain about his proclivity to drop little hints about his past then pull back. He replied that the picture is highly personal and implied that the woman in it had rejected him.
Meanwhile, Anna showed her purloined picture to her shrink friend Andre (Anthony Montgomery) and they commiserated about the outrageous amount of hair spray that was sacrificed in the 80’s. Oh, wait, that was a conversation that Anna and Laura had prior to Andre’s arrival!
Actually, Anna told Andre that the picture proves Valentin and Anna were at the WSB at the same time, and reiterated that the two know each other somehow. Andre countered that Valentin could have gotten the picture from someone else who was there.
Anna was having none of Andre’s psychobabble, and insisted that the truth lays behind the closed door at the end of the corridor in her partial memory. She beseeched Andre to hypnotize her so that her unconscious could open the door and face whatever horror she’s repressing. According to these General hospital spoilers, a hypnotized Anna will remember a long ago affair with a WSB trainer, plus the affair’s even more scandalous consequence!
Could Valentin be that long ago love child that Anna has fought so hard to forget? It would certainly explain the anger that Valentin has toward her, as well as the sense of both dread and familiarity that she feels when she’s around him!
