General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin's Connection To The Hand Controlling Julian and New PC Mob Revealed

General Hospital spoilers are about to reveal an unexpected connection between Valentin, Julian, and the entity responsible for the car bomb that blew up Julian’s car and killed Morgan. Did General Hospital just throw out a major clue to Valentin Cassadine’s true identity within an entirely unrelated (maybe) storyline? There’s a reason why that English pawnbroker keeps popping up around Port Charles, and it’s not to score a piece of cheap jewelry!

Viewers first saw the pawnbroker behind the counter of his shop when Jason (Billy Miller) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) paid him a recent visit. They are hot on the trail of finding out who planted the bomb in Julian Jerome’s (William DeVry) car, resulting in the unintended death of Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig).

Their sleuthing led them to the dingy pawnshop, in search of a clue about a tool implicated in the bombing. The storekeeper feigned innocence about the tool until Jason spied an open tool kit with a piece missing; the tool in Jason’s hand fit perfectly in the kit’s empty compartment.

The pawnbroker was caught in his lie, but things got juicer when the dynamic duo departed. That’s when the multitalented shopkeep went upstairs with his elegant tea set (Earl Grey, no doubt) and placed it in front of, wait for it, The Hand! That’s right, it seems that the deceitful pawnbroker works for the very same unseen entity who is remotely controlling the life of one Julian Jerome.

That in itself is interesting since it further cements the idea that The Hand is behind the car bombing. But nothing is ever random on soaps. Think about it, wouldn’t it make more sense if this Port Charles, New York, pawnbroker had a thick Brooklyn accent? Even a Jersey accent would be more believable than the proper English accent he used to trill out his words.

Valentin is a man of mystery, with ties to several countries including England. In fact, his most ardent attention is being focused on English Rose Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). We have yet to hear The Hand’s voice; why have TPTB at GH chosen to give The Hand a lackey who speaks in dulcet English tones?

Could this be one more subtle clue in the maddening mystery of Valentin’s continental identity? And if so, is it possible that Valentin is connected to The Hand, aka Julian’s car bomber, hidden controller, and the new mob invading Port Charles? Stay tuned, GH fans, the plot thickens!
