Henry Cavill and Tara King Break-Up: Superman Actor Dumps 19 Year Old College Freshman Girlfriend

Well, this will come as a complete shock to absolutely no one – but 33 year old Henry Cavill and his 19 year old girlfriend Tara King have broken up. Apparently, they didn’t have too much in common, go figure! We can’t imagine why the Superman actor and his college freshman girlfriend were having a hard time seeing eye to eye.

When Superman actor Henry Cavill confirmed last Fall that he was dating 19 year old Tara King, who was 14 years younger than him, their age gap really rubbed fans the wrong way. In retrospect, 14 years isn’t TOO bad, but the fact that she was literally only a consenting adult for a whopping one year of her life before hooking up with a 33 year old…was just odd.

Of course, Henry Cavill didn’t make things any less awkward when he raved about his college freshman girlfriend in interviews. And, Cavill famously bragged that Tara King “protected him from the world.” She’s 19 years old, and you’re Superman, why do you need a college freshman to protect YOU?

Shortly after that Henry even reportedly gave her a promise ring, because he couldn’t find his old high-school jacket so he could give her his Varsity letters to wear.

According to the Sun, Henry reportedly is the one that dumped Tara – completely out of the blue. Of course, the teen is devastated, and probably has some severe daddy issues now, thanks to Cavill. An inside source dished to Sun, “Henry and Tara have split — it is official.

Henry Cavill said the two of them could stay friends and he even invited her to his recent birthday party, which she did go to. But their relationship is over. It has been very difficult for Tara King, who has been saying he was the love of her life.”

So are your shocked that Henry and Tara have split, or are you just shocked that they lasted that long? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
