Kate Middleton’s children had an accidental playdate with Ben Affleck’s son – although the children didn’t actual mingle. Ben Affleck recently told talk show host Graham Norton about an accidental playdate son Samuel had with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Affleck took the four-year-old, his son with Jennifer Garner, to an indoor play park while in London filming ‘Justice League.’
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck enjoyed visiting all the usual tourist spots with their three children while in England. Ben told the British talk show host that despite stops at Windsor Castle, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace the family didn’t meet any Royals. “We went everywhere that the Royals go and live and cut each other’s heads off,” Affleck joked.
Sadly, no sightings of Kate Middleton and Prince William during the tours. Then one day Affleck decided to take Samuel to Kidnasium for a day of fun. When father and son arrived at the indoor playground there weren’t a lot of people around but then the atmosphere began to change.
Ben Affleck recounted that he noticed many well-dressed adults with earpieces and thought Kidnasium had incredibly high security. It appears that the level of security that particular day was because Kate Middleton and Prince William’s children Princess Charlotte and Prince George had been taken to the same indoor park.
Laughing, Affleck said, “I was the last person in there, for sure, to realize the Royal kids were in there playing. Now I can tell [Samuel] you got a cold from the King of England.”
Even though Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Jennifer Garner’s son were playing at Kidnasium at the same time, Samuel didn’t get a chance to rub elbows with the Royal toddlers. Affleck joked, “Go talk to them! Touch them! Be nice to them! You know what to say!”
It’s not a secret, Kate Middleton enjoys rubbing elbows with Hollywood stars. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are still on the A-list making the family acceptable company for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner separated two years ago and have yet to divorce. Unlike Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie the couple is putting their children first and continue to do what is best for Violet, 10, Serafina, 7 and Samuel.
Jennifer has gone on record calling Affleck the love of her life. Affleck has praised Jennifer in the press, stating that she is someone he admires, respects and with whom he remains friends. Maybe someday Jennifer and Affleck can call the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge their in-laws.
Meanwhile Kate Middleton can say that her children have Hollywood connections – won’t Queen Elizabeth be proud. Especially with all the buzz about Prince Harry hooking up with Meghan Markle. Come back to CDL for all the Royal news and views!
