Kate Middleton must be appalled with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s out of control spending on designer clothes and bags. After all, the Duchess of Cambridge recycled the red LK Bennett coat and brown Lock & Co. fascinator and wore the outfit to the ceremony marking the end of the RAF Search and Rescue Operations.
The Duchess of Cambridge is a thrifty Royal, often opting to wear the same outfit a number of times. But neither Princess Beatrice nor Princess Eugenie seem to have the same inclination. Recently Beatrice was photographed shopping in the upscale Mayfair district carrying a $650 designer bag by Milli Millu.
Though the outfit Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter was wearing seemed understated, it had to be pricey. The Daily Mail published photos of the princess wearing a knee length gray coat, a black mini-skirt, a collared blue dress shirt under a black sweater. Bea finished off the outfit with black tights and black suede ankle boots.
Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie stepped out for a dinner with boyfriend Jack Brooksbank on Thursday, February 18. Don’t let the simplicity of the bag and the outfit fool you! The Daily Mail snapped photos of Princess Eugenie wearing a hound’s tooth coat over a black sweater and black skinny jeans. The princess wore high-heeled burgundy pumps.
Where is the money coming from to buy these designer clothes, shoes and handbags? Neither princess can keep a job for more than a few months. Do Bea and Eugenie spend their Royal allowances on clothes?
Or is it possible the designers or boutiques provide the wannabe fashionistas with coats, pumps and bags gratis? After all, having a Royal family member photographed wearing your designs can make a career very successful.
Meanwhile, back at Anmer Hall and Kensington Palace, Kate Middleton is putting together outfits fin order to fulfill Royal responsibilities from clothes already in the Duchess of Cambridge’s many closets. Is that fair? Shouldn’t Duchess Kate be able to spend whatever she wants on clothes, shoes, fascinators and handbags?
The spendthrift daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson should be ashamed if the princesses are living beyond their means. Though that wouldn’t be anything new, would it. Mom Fergie hasn’t exactly been a stellar example of how to spend your money properly.
Perhaps it is time for Kate Middleton to teach Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice a thing or two about wearing what you have rather than spending frivolously on items Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughters’ most likely cannot afford.
