Pippa Middleton and James Matthews have set a date for their wedding next year. The engaged couple will wed on May 20, 2017. The sister of Kate Middleton caught the world’s attention at the royal wedding while wearing a figure-hugging dress that would garner much conversation all around the globe.
Many people wanted to pair Pippa Middleton with Prince Harry, but she met and fell in love with James Matthews, a hedge fund manager, two years ago. Prince Harry, on the other hand, is now in a high profile relationship of his own with talented and beautiful American actress Meghan Markle.
Middleton and Matthews will marry at St. Mark’s Englefield in Berkshire. The couple will host the reception a few miles away at Carole and Michael Middleton’s home in Bucklebury. Although the entire home will be used, the party will be held in a luxury marquee in the garden.
According to US Weekly, Princess Charlotte will be a flower girl and Prince George will be a page boy. Kate Middleton isn’t scheduled to be a bridesmaid; however, she will more than likely do a reading at the special event.
Pippa Middleton has reportedly been very involved in this wedding and wants to plan a lot of the details herself rather than leaving it up to the event planner. We also have to wonder if James Matthews has been any help at all or if he’s leaving most of the formalities up to Pippa and the planners. Probably the latter.
The 33-year-old socialite has visited florists and has had celebrity designer Giles Deacon visit her home, raising speculation that he will be designing her wedding gown. Reports also swirled that Pippa wanted to hire Adele to sing at the ceremony but realized the “Hello” singer was too pricey.
James Matthews proposed to his fiancée in July of this year during a vacation to England’s Lake District. The Eden Rock Capital Management boss got on one knee and presented a 4.5-carat Asscher-cut ring to Kate Middleton’s little sister and, since then, it has been nothing but smiles and wedding planning for the happy couple.
As more details become available, we will give you the latest updates. With the way things are going between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, hopefully this won’t be the only big wedding England will host next year.

The Duchess also gave a speech in which she praised the incredible young people and all they have achieved. “Tonight, we are celebrating the truly remarkable work taking place across Place2Be schools in support of children’s mental health,” HRH said. “Without many of the inspiring people gathered here this evening, countless children would not receive the transformational support in their schools. It is because of so many of you, that in their time of need, children have the help, care and attention that will get them through tough times in their lives. “You have not only faced challenges but you’ve had the resilience to overcome them. You have also, in your willingness to have open conversations, become young mental health pioneers.”
