Does Prince Charles need to fire his PR team? That’s what critics are saying as many are calling his new Christmas card photo with Camilla Parker-Bowles a complete disaster. In fact, some sources say that it’s one of the most worst photos taken of the royal couple.
The photo was taken at the Cultural Heritage Festival in Osijek, Croatia. Charles and Camilla are standing next to a local folklore group called the Osijek 1862 in their traditional national costume. The insider of the card is decorated with the prince’s emblem and Camilla’s cipher along with a simple message that says, “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.”
While some fans are saying that this is Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles’ most festive Christmas card ever, others are completely appalled. Last year the couple shared a simpler photo of the two of them smiling and embracing one another. Yet, Charles and Camilla’s handlers say that the royal couple chose this photo simply because they loved it and have fond memories of the official tour they took to the western Balkans and Croatia earlier this year.
Critics say that the future King, Prince Charles, should be in the forefront of the photo and that Camilla Parker-Bowles should have worn something softer for the photo, like a beige coat to match her husband’s. What’s more, many critics also point out that there is one folk dancer that looked completely enamored with Prince Charles.
Others are pointing out that Charles even has his hands in his pockets. That’s why so many sources say that Prince Charles is in desperate need of better PR as his handlers aren’t making the right choices for him.
If that weren’t enough, some critics think that Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles shouldn’t be revealing a Christmas card at all. Royal insiders say that Camilla thinks that whatever Kate Middleton and Prince William can do, she can of course do better. But that’s simply not the case.
So far Buckingham Palace as not made any comments about the criticism. And there’s very little chance that they will, too.
