Queen Elizabeth Retiring: Prince Charles And Camilla Parker Bowles Take On New Leadership Role?

New reports indicate that Queen Elizabeth is getting ready to step down from the throne. That’s why Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles are taking on new leadership roles in the monarchy. The royal couple even recently led the family’s church trip on Christmas Day.

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles lead the royals on their annual pilgrimage to Sandringham Estate during the holiday weekend. Prince Harry, along with Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, and several members of the royal family, followed them from behind. Even though Prince Philip managed to make it to church on Christmas Day, Queen Elizabeth was noticeably absent. Sources say the Queen is still feeling ‘terrible’ because of her heavy cold. In fact, doctors have recommended that she stay indoors until further notice.

Queen Elizabeth Retiring: Prince Charles And Camilla Parker Bowles Take On New Leadership Role?

Is Queen Elizabeth finally stepping down because of her health issues? Is Prince Charles finally going to be King of England? That’s what many royal observers believe. Charles is stepping it up and showing the public that he’s ready to be a leader. He made a powerful but poignant speech on Christmas Day. Many insiders say that Charles will be making more public appearances in the coming weeks while the Queen continues to stay indoors.

There were previous reports indicating that Queen Elizabeth wanted Prince William and Kate Middleton to take the throne after her retirement. Several years ago the Queen met with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge about the future of the royal family and British monarchy. In fact, she even discussed a massive change in hierarchy with the British government at a cabinet meeting back in 2012.

Sources said at the time that the Queen wanted to make her grandson Prince William King of England. Clearly, that is not going to happen. Prince Charles has stepped up to the plate. If and when Queen Elizabeth relinquishes her position, Prince Charles will be the oldest heir to accede to the British throne.

Buckingham Palace has not made any additional comments about Queen Elizabeth or her health for that matter. Do you think Queen Elizabeth is retiring? Are Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles prepared to take on their new roles in the monarchy? Many sources say that Queen Elizabeth will make her retirement announcement in 2017.

If Charles ascends, the monarchy will die.

  2. Elizabeth Connell says:

I had a gut feeling the Queen’s reign would end in 2017, and it looks like old Queenie will pass on, possibly before or at least after her 91st birthday. I do not like Chuck, nor do I like Camilla Balls and I hope England cuts off the monarchy after HM dies, Nobody needs them, nor Kate and Wills, My prediction is Charles won’t be king after Elizabeth’s death for long, It will probably be a few months into his reigning that the peasants will get sick of these freeloaders and have a rebellion, Camilla will probably drink herself to death if a rebellion will happen

    WE WANT KING HARRY

After the recent absurd religious statement made by Charles regarding minorities and the fact that there was also a very definite political subtext to the speech, his may be the shortest reign in British history.

      Absolutely!
You have stumbled upon something I didn’t think of right away. Namely, this speech was actually a weak attempt to ward off moslems from his house! As usually (and of course predictably) he and his whole family only cares about his own well being. What happens outside his “bubble” he could not give a toss about.
It definitely is a deliberate hit below the proverbial belt (of all the British subjects, anyway) coming from the future king. The selfishness has not been THIS apparent EVER! Charles’ adultery shenanigans have nothing on this blatant attempt to invite more murder, terror and other sorts of crime into Great Britain.

The most upsetting thing is that it’s not just Charles that’s like this but also his children, not to mention Charles siblings and THEIR kids as well! They are all as bad as one another. As far as i can see there’s no one left (besides the queen) who deserves this job and can actually DO IT!

Yes, I agree. Charles is stuck in a time-warp of 60+ years ago when the Monarchy did have a degree of power and influence over the political sphere. The Monarch has no need for leadership qualities, because it no longer rules and no longer leads. Charles can’t seem to wrap his head around the fact that a country can’t function with two forms of leadership – a democratically elected government and a constitutional monarchy.
His arrogance is breathtaking. The modern Royals have existed in a protective bubble away from the realities that the rest of the population has to live with – they have been cocooned from birth and they know of no other way to function. They are completely clueless as to the realities of how minorities actually function in the broader society.
His comments were wrong and highly insensitive. His thoughts on the subject of historical persecution and his fantastical view that all religions/ideologies have a similar basis simply emphasizes how out of touch he and the rest of royals are. I agree that when the Queen passes, the Monarchy will have served its purpose. It may take a few years, but many experts are of the opinion that the institution will have run its course sometime within the next 15-20 years.

They need to do away with the whole fake mess and stop bleeding the poor people there.

  6. royalwatcher says:

Charles would have the power not Camilla, who is a consort. Charles would be the reigning monarch. I hope this story is not true.

  7. royalwatcher says:

Camilla looks older than the Queen in that photo of her.

  8. […] Queen Elizabeth’s retirement plans have been put on hold. There’s a new report indicating that the Queen is worried that Britain’s monarchy won’t survive without her. In fact, royal insiders believe that Queen Elizabeth is not ready to abdicate the throne or leave the public stage just yet. It’s because she knows no one in the royal family is ready to replace her.
