On tonight’s Rob and Chyna season 1 episode 3, during a trip to Washington, D.C., Rob Kardashian visits the strip club that gave his fiancée Blac Chyna her start.

On tonight’s Rob and Chyna premiere episode as per the E! synopsis, “Rob experiences discomfort in the spotlight when he and Chyna attend Khloe’s birthday party. Then, he’s held under scrutiny by Chyna’s family, who he meets for the first time during a trip to Washington, D.C., during which he visits the strip club that gave his fiancée her start.”

Rob and Scott decided to start off tonight’s episode of “Rob & Chyna” by playing games on Rob’s mother Kris. Apparently, they wanted to know if they could tick her on the phone. Rob called her and had started to ask her questions. Like why did she drop off a bat at his house and her response had been that she did that for his protection. Kris had said that Rob could use that bat to defend himself if ever someone broke into his room. And when Kris wasn’t telling her son that she wanted him to be safe, she told him that she was in a meeting.
But Rob and Scott weren’t done with their game, so they had asked Kris if she was better than them because of her meeting and Kris hadn’t held back when she said yes. Kris had then repeated that she was better than them and told him that she really did have to hang up. So Rob and Scott had only gotten the chance to annoy her without outright upsetting her before she hung up on them yet that little thing didn’t compare to Chyna’s relationship troubles with her own mother. Chyna hasn’t told her mother that she doesn’t live with Rob so it was a little awkward for her when her mom asked her to DC for a family celebration.
Tokyo Tony had wanted her daughter and the man that she believed was practically her son-in-law to visit for a block party however Chyna was concerned about several things regarding the trip. Chyna, for instance, hadn’t wanted to explain to her mother that the reason she didn’t live with Rob was they’ve been having problems. So she hadn’t wanted to come up, especially at a family gathering, in case that became some big thing. Yet, Chyna’s biggest problem with the DC trip was Rob himself. Rob doesn’t usually like big gatherings because they make him feel self-conscious about his weight and so he had told Chyna that he would think about it.
However, Chyna also had a reason to feel and be angry with Rob. Rob had seemingly kept a lot of things to himself so he hadn’t told Chyna that both had been invited to a family party. So the first Chyna had heard about it had been when his sisters had called her up themselves when they hadn’t heard back from Rob and she had confronted Rob about that. Chyna had known how big it was that his family was reaching out to both of them and not just him, so she hadn’t wanted to squander that opportunity. Especially as it could be the first step into being accepted as a future Kardashian and not just be known as Tyga’s ex.
Rob, however, had said what he always does. He said he forgot his sisters invited them and then admitted that he felt self-conscious about going to that too. So Chyna had to ultimately convinced him that they should go and she also didn’t bother to tell him that she was nervous too.
Chyna said that Rob would use that to stay at home so she had kept driving to the party even as Rob then tried to say he didn’t feel so well. Though when he said that, Rob also admitted that he had once been hospitalized because he hadn’t taken insulin like he should have and that had sent him to the ICU. And so Chyna was shocked by that.
Chyna hadn’t known that Rob had once been that sick and the fact that Rob was talking about an incident in December meant that it hadn’t been that long ago. Chyna had made sure that he was ok and had continued on to the party. Where she actually had been welcomed by the family and had been quite excited to be accepted. So Chyna had been happy to go to the party because it meant a step forward for her while Rob had personally taken a step back. Rob had barely tolerated any of it. He said that his family swarmed them and that’s not what he wanted. And he was also so upset that he had wanted to live the party after only being there for an hour.
Chyna had thankfully been able to talk Rob into relaxing some and she even got him to laugh while he was there with so much people. So they had stayed at the party longer than Rob thought they would. But what he did for her then, he hadn’t been ready to do in DC. Rob had later agreed to go to DC and Chyna had hoped to show him where she grew up so that he would understand her roots yet Rob had purposely distanced him from what was going on. Rob hadn’t wanted to take picture with fans that had been proud of Chyna for moving up in the world and he hadn’t wanted to deal with the drama that Chyna had incidentally caused.
Chyna had apparently invited both her mother and her father to dinner with a couple of siblings. So she had wanted them all to sit down together and just enjoy themselves, but she forgot how complicated her family was. Chyna had been born in the same year as two of her half-siblings so she knew that her mother was going to be hurt if not upset when she heard that and still set up the family as if nothing was wrong. However, Tokyo had reacted when she heard that her ex had three babies within five months of each other and so her ex’s man-whore ways had been hurtful to hear. And she had needed some time by herself in the bathroom.
Though, when Chyna saw how badly her mother reacted, she had followed her and had convinced her to come back to the table. Chyna had wanted to show off her family and her mother was a big part of her life. So Tokyo got it together for her and had come back to the table. Where she eventually joked around with Chyna’s siblings and had told the funny story about when she found out her daughter was stripping at one of the clubs. As the story goes, Tokyo had been getting the stink eye from a couple of women when she went over to them and asked them “what’s good”.
The ladies though had been surprised by her question because they said she hadn’t been that turned up at the club. So Tokyo had gone to the club to see this woman that she had been mistaken for and there she had seen her daughter dancing up on stage. However, Tokyo hadn’t been angry with Chyna. She had actually been proud of her and so she had joined in with the crow by dishing out money to Chyna because she thought she was a great dancer. And so later on in the night, Chyna and her family had showed Rob the club she used to dance in and Rob of course had been surprised by what he saw.
Rob had pulled up to a club that not so surprisingly wasn’t what he was used to. Yet, he had tried to make light of the trip. He said his daughter was never going to be dancing there and, as the night went on, he hadn’t felt comfortable about Chyna having ever been there. So Chyna had to explain him that if she hadn’t left to go study that she would have probably still been working there and she didn’t appear to shy away from that. And so Rob had come to see this other side that Chyna wanted to show him and he did eventually learn to relax.
Rob had said that because no one was focusing on him that it easier for him to relax. So he did come to enjoy himself around her family and they wanted to keep that momentum up by bringing some of Chyna’s oldest friends around. But one friend in particular had gotten upset that Chyna had brought her entourage with her. Chyna’s entourage was the group of people she met after she got a name for herself so some of her oldest friends were weary of the group. And that caused some tensions that the very pregnant Chyna had wanted to ignore.
Chyna had hoped that her childhood friend Treasure would be polite to Paige, but that just wasn’t happening. Treasure had felt that her relationship with Chyna was threatened by Paige’s presence out in LA so she had chosen to simply hate Paige right of the bat. However, Paige had said that she never had a problem with Treasure until Treasure had a problem with her. So Chyna thought everything could be settled by getting the two women to talk to each other away from everyone else.
Chyna had pulled her two friends out of party away from everyone else and she asked them to talk to each other in order to work out their argument. Though that was never going to happen. Treasure was jealous and her jealousy also made her move out to LA just so Chyna would throw Paige out of her house yet that’s what she thought would happen if she did move out west. So Chyna had to wade into the argument at the point because the ladies weren’t coming to an agreement and so she told them that they both meant something to her. Treasure had been there for her for ten years and she had used to say that she didn’t want Chyna out west by herself.
So a little reminder that Chyna was no longer alone had showed Treasure that Chyna was happy with Paige around and that got her to back off. But, Chyna’s mother ended up reminding her and Rob that they were about to have a baby so they kind of needed to get serious about that and about each other. And so hopefully these two will eventually agree on a wedding date.
