Selena Gomez’s career might be coming to an end. In fact, there’s new speculation that Selena Gomez’s retirement might be here already as the singer’s lupus and stress over her Justin Bieber break-up is forcing her to withdraw from the limelight.
Selena Gomez’s Revival world tour was canceled last month because of her personal struggles. The ‘Kill ‘Em With Kindness’ singer kicked off her tour in Las Vegas last May and was scheduled to continue until December until she simply couldn’t go on anymore because of her reported panic attacks and depression, which she both says are side effects related to her lupus disease. Selena Gomez even admitted to have undergone chemotherapy to treat the disease last year.
What’s more, Selena Gomez also expected her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber to reach out to her after she admitted to her anxiety attacks and depression, but so far he’s done nothing. In fact, there’s a good chance that Selena Gomez can’t get over the fact that Justin Bieber has moved on, even though she’s been holding on to hope that they would soon get back together again.
Instead, Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie’s relationship has been making headlines for their near-naked romps in Mexico and their PDA’s in Los Angeles. Selena Gomez’s jealousy over Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie’s relationship hit a peek point when the singer couldn’t help but slam her ex-boyfriend on Instagram over it.
A very public Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber feud followed, leaving the singer completely humiliated over it. There’s no doubt that Selena Gomez was hoping that his fling with Sofia Richie would have ended by now. Instead, Selena Gomez is being forced to see her ex-boyfriend – and her one and only true love in her life – completely ignore. If that weren’t bad enough, Sofia Richie even went on the record to throw some more shade at Selena Gomez by calling her Justin Bieber relationship ‘special.’
With her panic attacks and anxiety getting the best of her and seeing Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie together, it’s no wonder that Selena Gomez canceled her world tour. And while Selena Gomez has had several radio hits behind her, the singer’s career has never been at the same level or caliber as her fellow chart toppers like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
While Selena Gomez is still famous because of her name recognition, she’s certainly not known for her studio efforts, putting her future in the entertainment business in jeopardy. With no energy left to even finish her tour, this of course has Selena Gomez’s fans wondering if she’s going to quit her career and go into retirement altogether. Do you agree, CDL readers?
