Episode 3 of The Bachelor kicks off at the mansion – some of the girls are sitting outside and gossiping about Olivia, they think that she is an undercover “mean girl” and she is just hiding it for the cameras. The girls are all waiting impatiently for the date card to arrive. Chris Harrison arrives with the first date card. It reads, “Lauren B. the sky is the limit.”

Lauren Bushnell rushes upstairs to get dressed for her first 1-on-1 date on the season. Ben arrives at the house to pick up Lauren, they drive off and she tries to guess what they will be doing on their date. They arrive at a private airport, and Ben reveals that they are going in a tiny bi-plane that is typically used for stunts.

Lauren and Ben hop in and the pilot takes off – soon they are soaring over Los Angeles and then the ocean. The pilot does a few tips and turns for them, they joke that it feels like they are riding on a roller coaster. The girls at the mansion are sitting outside and they see Lauren and Ben fly overhead – the jealousy is out of control.

After their plane ride – Lauren and Ben go for a walk in the middle of nowhere and spontaneously find a random hot-tub. Lauren ducks bind a tree to change in to her bathing suit and then she hops in to the hot-tub with The Bachelor. After a few glasses of champagne, the marathon make-out session begins. Lauren gushes that “kissing Ben is perfect” and she wants to do it all night long.

Bach at the Bachelor Mansion, Caila Quinn is having a meltdown. She breaks down in tears and confesses to one of the other girls that she thinks Ben is going to fall in love with someone else and break her heart. She doesn’t want to be guarded – but Caila doesn’t want to get hurt either.

Lauren and Ben are still on their 1-on-1 date, next The Bachelor surprises her with a romantic dinner. Lauren talks about her family – her dad – and what she is looking for in a husband. She says that it is the “little things that count.” Lauren wants to have kids of her own and give them the same life that she had. After getting to know each other, Ben surprises Lauren with the date rose and she giddily accepts it.

Another date card arrives at the mansion. Amanda, Haley, Jennifer, Leah, Shushanna, Amber, Lauren H., Olivia Jamie, Rachel, Lace, and Emily are all invited on the group date. The invitation teases, “Love is the goal.”

The girls get dressed the next morning and meet Ben at a soccer stadium – Alex Morgan and Kelly O’Hara (pro womens’ soccer players) are there to train the girls. They go through a few drills, and it’s painful to watch. It’s safe to say none of Ben’s girls are future soccer players. Back at the mansion, Jubilee is devastated that she wasn’t invited on the group date. She cries because she can tell that Ben is not that in to her and she doesn’t think that she is his type.

Chris Harrison shows up at the soccer stadium. He announces that they are breaking the girls up in to two teams – and the winning team gets to go to an after-party with Ben. The losing team will have to go to the Bachelor mansion without getting to spend any time with Ben.

The soccer game kicks off and the girls fight tooth and nail for some alone time with Ben. The Bachelor is conflicted because he isn’t sure which team to root for – and they are paying so aggressively. Rachel gets injured, but she dusts herself off says she is going to finish out the game. Amber scores the winning goal, and Rachel isn’t able to stop her because she was just hurt. The Stripes team is crowned the winner, and the Stars team goes home without getting to spend any time with Ben.

The winning team heads out to a cocktail party with Ben – Olivia steals Ben first, of course. The other girls are irritated that she once again is hogging The Bachelor. Olivia takes Ben upstairs to one of the hotel rooms and then waves at the other girls from the balcony and rubs it in their faces that she is with him. Olivia confides in Ben that she thinks that the other girls are intimidated by her. He reassures her that he thinks she can handle it – and then they kiss … and kiss … and kiss some more.

Meanwhile downstairs the other girls are talking about how horrible Olivia’s breath and how ugly her feet are – Olivia learns later what they were saying about how and she is not happy. Back at the mansion the next date card arrives, Jubilee is shocked when the invitation is for her and not Caila or Jojo. The date card teases, “Love is in the air.”

At the afterparty, Amber James (Chris Soules’ ex) finally gets some alone time with Ben for the first time – they share their first kiss and get to know each other a little bit. It looks like Ben likes what he saw in Amber, because he gives her the date rose for the night. Olivia is a little put out – but she “knows” that Ben wanted to give her a rose, he was just trying to be fair and give someone else a chance.

The next day Ben arrives at the mansion for the 1-on-1 date with Jubilee – she is a nervous wreck when he arrives. And jokes that she doesn’t even want to go on the date, which really upsets some of the other girls because they think she is being ungrateful. A helicopter arrives at the mansion and picks up Ben and Jubilee – they fly off to a remote health spa which is basically a miniature castle I the middle of nowhere.

Ben and Jubilee spend the whole day hanging out, their date is off to a bumpy start – but they warm up to each other and have some drinks and go swimming. Over a romantic dinner, Jubilee opens up to Ben and fills him in on her personal life. She gets emotional and reveals that she was adopted when she was a baby and has no living relatives. The next morning – the girls are shocked to see that Jubilee got a rose from Ben and is still in the competition.

Later that night – it’s time for the cocktail party. Ben arrives and says that he just received really bad news from home, and two of his close family friends passed away in an accident. The girls all want to “be there” for Ben. Olivia steals him away, and apparently she doesn’t want to “be there” for him – instead she breaks down in tears and cries because the other girls were making fun of her feet and cankles. Ben can’t believe that he just revealed someone close to him passed away and all Olivia wants to talk about is her feet.

Jubilee already has a rose – but she is still working Ben. Since he had such a bad day and lost some loved ones, Jubilee takes Ben outback where she has a massage table set up, and surprises him with a massage. The other girls are furious when they catch Ben getting a massage from Jubilee – they try to corner her and demand to know why she is hogging the Bachelor. She runs upstairs to the bathroom to cry and Ben chases after her to comfort her, which only upsets more of the girls.
Meanwhile, Lace has another meltdown because Ben isn’t paying attention to her – she takes Ben aside and starts sobbing and says that she is going home because she has a lot of work to do on herself. She knows that the connection just isn’t there between them – they say their goodbyes and Lace climbs in to the limo.

It’s finally time for Ben to pass out the roses. Amber, Lauren, and Jubilee already have roses and they are safe. Ben hands roses out to Lauren H, Amanda, Becca, Rachel, Caila, Jojo, Leah, and Olivia. Shushanna and Jami are officially eliminated.

THE END!
