The Young and the Restless spoilers detailed everything Y&R in 2016. As 2017 gets set to debut, which clash is likely to be loudest? Renewed or new rivalries, breakups, business wars, or something else? Will Hevon send social media twittering with rumors of divorce?
That’s become more than a theoretical question as the old year ends. Hilary (Mishael Morgan) seems incapable of maturing and Devon’s (Bryton James) car accident is just the latest horrific incident that his wife’s behavior has provoked. Some pairings seemed destined for disaster from the jump.
Jabot’s bid to takeover Fenmore’s won’t be met with smiles. Lauren (Tracey Bregman) won’t be happy that Jack (Peter Bergman) intends to strip her business power. Now that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) has opted to join Lauren’s side, another soldier in the battle has been fitted, tightly, for guerrilla warfare.
The looming end of Shylan will hit Sharon (Sharon Case) very hard. Just as she was coming to grips with Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) loss, Dylan (Steve Burton) is about to disappear. Will he be killed in the line of duty, or simply erased from Genoa City indefinitely? Viewers aren’t yet privy to the exact details. But whatever the outcome, Sharon will be alone and her personal resurrection is sure to be fierce.
Victor (Eric Braeden) has evidenced his softer side since Adam (Justin Hartley) died. But the Moustache is hardly likely to explore the Bonsai arts again. While a renewed battle with Jack doesn’t appear likely, Victor will clash hard against a different type of opponent in the New Year. It’s one that will attack his personal interests and make him very mad.
Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) can’t possibly keep Bella’s (Cali May Kinder) paternity a secret forever. Gloria (Judith Chapman) will make sure of that. Kevin (Greg Rikaart) stands to lose a lot if his mom uncovers a secret that splits Khloe apart. Unless he’s the dad, instead of Billy (Jason Thompson) or an unknown third party.
Billy has gotten into trouble so often, it’s seemingly become a lifestyle choice. He can’t kick Jack in the heart anymore because Philly is dead. So Victoria (Amelia Heinle) better watch out because the return of Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) may create an alternate love triangle. Yes, Reed’s dad J.T. (Thad Luckinbill, Heinle’s real life husband as Y&R viewers know) now has a plotted point back to Wisconsin if head writer Sally Sussman can make it happen.
