“The Young and The Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that we may not have seen the last of crazy Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) in Genoa City. Remember Ian Ward (Ray Wise) sent her off with a new ID and she seemed reluctant to go – but she could be back in a big way and ruin a major plot that’s stewing. Chuck Pratt Jr. made it clear in a recent interview that Patty will be back and the suggestion is that it will be in time for February Sweeps.
Patty is the only person (aside from possible co-conspirators) that knows the extent of what shady Dr Sandy Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush) is up to and what she’s done thus far. Patty picked up right away that Dr A was up to no good when it came to Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and her “pregnancy.”
When Patty tried to get to Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton) to warn him about Sharon’s non-pregnancy, the orderlies acting as Dr Anderson’s minions shut her down. Then later, they went so far as to drug her to keep her from revealing the secret schemes going on at Fairview Sanitarium.
But wily Patty can’t be kept down and she snuck out and braved a fire to try and warn others what Dr Anderson was up to. It was a huge relief for Dr Anderson when Patty’s brother Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) stopped by to rail about his sister’s death.
That meant Dr A didn’t have to worry about Patty ruining her revenge scheme against Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). However, we’ve seen recently that the bad doc’s plans have gone awry. Rather than the death of baby Christian splitting Nick and Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan), they’ve reunited.
They have managed to share their grief and rehab the relationship. Dr Anderson’s next move is to undermine Sage’s confidence in her marriage and push her towards Adam Newman (Justin Hartley). Of course as we’ve seen Sage is growing very suspicious of the evil Doc! But there are many moving parts in play, some that Dr A doesn’t know about such as Christian’s paternity.
If Patty comes back to Genoa City, she can let her nephew Dylan know that Sully is not his son with Sharon. Patty may have even figured out that Sully is really baby Christian since one baby died and another popped up almost immediately.
Patty may be a loon but she’s not dumb. Patty could blow this whole Dr Anderson scheme wide open plus Paul would be thrilled to know his sister is alive. It was great to see Patty with Ian as well – they had killer crazy chemistry and there is talk that Ian may yet end up back in GC to make more trouble.
