The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Michael Muhney Tweets New Gig – Did Former Adam Newman Land a New Daytime Role?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers announce that Michael Muhney has a new gig! Michael Muhney, ex-Adam Newman on The Young and The Restless, tweeted that his “dance card is full” and that means he’s got a new acting job. But where? Will the fan-favorite actor be back on a soap soon? Or is this a primetime show or a plum new film role?

It’s not likely that he’d be back on Y&R given how horribly he was treated and that Hunter King (Summer Newman) and Jill Farren Phelps are still on set and they part of the plot to oust him, but there are three other soaps that could use a talent like Muhney.

Michael Muhney was tweeting with his good pal Aussie comedian and talk show host Rove McManus when he wrote that his dance card is full. The ex-Y&R actor is friends with both Rove and his wife Tasma Walton and they often tweet funny stuff to each other.

Plus Muhney and his wife visit Australia to hang with their down under pals, so it’s not surprising that he would tweet about a new job with Rove. Muhney’s most recent projects include a holiday movie called “Correcting Christmas” that was well reviewed and two other films – The Track and Search Engines.

With three movies under his belt plus a history of film acting before and during his Y&R tenure, we have to wonder if Muhney landed a hot new film role. Let’s hope the cloud of controversy surrounding his Y&R exit won’t prevent him from landing another TV role, though, so we can see him regularly.

Muhney was a critical part of cult TV show Veronica Mars and would be a brilliant addition for any of the daytime shows. If CBS won’t work with him, perhaps ABC or NBC will get wise and snatch him up. General Hospital could use a hot new guy in town – and DOOL just got a renewal which means new stories…

What do you think Michael Muhney fans? Did our favorite ousted Adam land a TV role at last? Dare we hope that we’ll see him on the small screen soon? Or is he destined for the bright lights and big screens of movie-making and has put daytime TV behind him?
