The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers tease Adam’s (Justin Hartley) exit from Genoa City and the consequences of this for Sharon, Christian’s reveal and Chelsea’s future. Chadam is no more now that Justin Hartley has quit Y&R and Adam is being treated as dead in Genoa City.
Assuming that Victor Junior rises again, fans will naturally wonder if Sharon (Sharon Case) will supplant Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) in short order? Such a development would enable Shadam’s resurrection, which would reestablish one of the show’s most electric power couples.
At some point Dylan (Steve Burton) must learn that Sully is actually Christian. When that happens he’ll be devastated and leave Sharon. Sharon will be involuntarily freed from her marriage vows when Dylan discovers this life-changing secret.
No possible explanation can be offered that justifies Sharon’s actions. Yes, she was initially an innocent victim of Dr. Anderson’s (Elizabeth Bogush) baby swap. But, she later appeared to confirm through a paternity test that Sully was actually Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) child.
Sharon then opted to withhold that information from Sage and Nick (Joshua Morrow), who she believed to be Christian’s father. Along with Adam and Sage, viewers learned that Christian is actually Adam’s biological child.
Chelsea and Nick have grown closer during the past month on Y&R. Adam’s wrongful incarceration unexpectedly drew Nick’s compassion and allowed him to become more prevalent in Chelsea’s life. Nick began visiting the brother who he previously rejected while Adam was behind bars.
During one of their Walworth meetings Adam asked Nick to look out for Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). At that time Adam anticipated remaining behind bars for up to 30 years for the murder of Constance Bingham (Sally Kellerman).
While evidence (Sage’s real diary pages) later appeared that would have exonerated him, Adam blatantly attacked a prison guard while hallucinating and received another 10-year sentence.
Victor’s (Eric Braeden) plot to help Chadam and their son escape justice went awry when Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) intervened. Adam’s apparent death resulted when the cabin where he was staying exploded. That dramatic event clearly pushes Chick (Chelsea + Nick) into position as Y&R’s next couple. Whenever Adam does return, Chelsea will likely have developed a new relationship with his half-brother.
So, Sharon seems certain to be single in the future. Adam will somehow return from the dead again, probably as a recast with plastic surgery necessitated by the cabin explosion. Both characters share an electric history and were often tagged as villains by many family members and so-called friends in the past. Soul mates of a certain type, Shadam will be primed to revive when the Adam recast is completed. Y&R devotees will anxiously await resulting havoc.
