The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers has recently explored how the Christian reveal could play out. Now, as Adam (Justin Hartley) attempts to distance himself from his wife, the opportunity for her to connect with someone else naturally increases. That’s why the potential pairing of Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) would establish the first step in a crucial multistage arc.
Sage (Kelly Sullivan) discovered that Sully was actually her son and confronted Sharon (Sharon Case) just before dying as the result of the injuries she suffered in a car crash. Plus, Chelsea and Adam know that Christian wasn’t Nick’s biological child, but have remained silent so they don’t add to his pain. So, how might a ‘Chick’ (Chelsea and Nick) coupling further this storyline? That point deserves to be detailed by The Young and the Restless spoilers.
Adam previously asked Nick to help clear his name. At first Nick resisted, but then agreed to have Constance’s (Sally Kellerman) body exhumed. Nick remained uncertain that Adam was guilty of murder, even after resulting tests appeared to confirm that Adam had poisoned Constance. So, Nick’s willingness to be open-minded toward his brother’s situation keeps a pathway open to Chelsea’s connected plight as well.
Sharon rationalized that by keeping Sully she’s helping Dylan (Steve Burton) and maintaining her marriage. She’s also wished away whatever guilt she had, or has, about preventing Nick from being with his child. But, Nick isn’t the father of this little boy, which Sharon doesn’t know.
So, if (when) ‘Chick’ forms, the next plot point to play out could involve Sharon’s secret being revealed. That would push Sully, who would revert to Christian, into Chelsea’s and Nick’s arms. Of course ‘Shylan’ would be destroyed, but that’s another Y&R story.
Chelsea would then be tasked with the same challenge Sharon had. Would Chelsea tell Nick that he isn’t the boy’s father, or would that information be withheld from him? And, assuming that Adam would be informed of these developments, would he allow Nick to raise his son with Chelsea in a double act of selfless compassion?
His son would be with the woman he loves and raised by a brother who could take care of his wife and child. Of course, Adam’s eventual release from prison could trigger Christian’s true paternity reveal. But, why push all the drama at one time?
