The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, September 23, tease that Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will discuss Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) affair. Ashley is fed up with Phyllis’ behavior and Abby is undoubtedly in shock. How could Phyllis cheat on Jack (Peter Bergman) with his own brother?
Ashley realizes that this betrayal has hurt Jack deeply. She’ll rant about all of the sorrow Phyllis has caused. Abby might wonder if there’s still hope for Phyllis and Jack’s marriage. If not, she may hint that Phyllis and Billy (Jason Thompson) might take their chance to be together.
Y&R spoilers say Ashley will remain firmly against both options. She’ll insist that her brothers need to run as far away from Phyllis as possible and never look back. Abby will admit that this is a terrible situation. There’s just so much pain floating around.
Meanwhile, Jack will try to awaken an unconscious Phyllis. She took a nasty tumble down the staircase in Thursday’s episode. Billy will once again ask Jack what he did to her. Jack might shout a brief explanation, but the main focus should be on getting Phyllis some help.
Jack may be furious with Phyllis, but he’s not a monster (unless he’s Marco!). He genuinely cares about Phyllis’ health, even if she’s not his favorite person right now. Billy will frantically call for an ambulance as Jack repeats Phyllis’ name and asks if she can hear him.
It looks like Phyllis is really down for the count. She won’t respond and the Abbott brothers will fear that something is seriously wrong. Luckily, that doesn’t seem to be the case. After some tense moments, Phyllis will eventually wake up. She’ll be taken to the hospital for evaluation and any necessary treatment.
Elsewhere, Paul (Doug Davidson) will hear the news and pass it along. Dylan (Steve Burton) and Kevin (Greg Rikaart) will learn that a woman hit her head and was knocked unconscious at the Abbott estate. Kevin will determine that Phyllis must be the one who received the blow. They’ll all worry about Phyllis’ current condition.
Of course, there are going to be questions about Jack’s role in this ordeal. A reporter will later approach Jack to hear his side of the story. He’ll suggest that Jack might have beaten his wife. Will Jack get riled again? Phyllis’ injury might soften Jack’s attitude, but abuse accusations could just bring back his rage.
Summer (Hunter King) will pay her mom a visit once she gets settled in at the hospital. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will be distraught over the way everything has gone. She knows she destroyed her marriage and she’s not sure how to fix it.
Summer will offer support, but Billy will think moving on is the best strategy. He’ll recall their passionate encounters and urge Phyllis to let go of Jack. Billy will believe he’s the one Phyllis wants. Stick with the CBS soap for updates on the drama ahead.
