Abby Lee Miller Begs To Stay Out Of Jail: Will ‘Dance Moms’ Star Pay For Sketchy Past?

Abby Lee Miller is desperately trying to stay out of jail. In fact, the ‘Dance Moms’ star is even blaming her legal mess on her fame. Reports indicate that Abby is hoping for a non-custodial sentence that will allow her to stay out of jail in exchange for community service or a fine.

Abby’s legal issues date back to 2012. In 2015, Abby was indicated on 20 counts of bankruptcy fraud after she allegedly hid $775,000 worth of assets in both 2012 and 2013. Abby claimed that she was only making $8,999 monthly on her tax returns. A judge in the case happened to be channel-surfing when he saw the reality television star on Lifetime’s ‘Dance Moms’ back in December of 2012.

Abby insists the reason why she hid the money is because she became too famous, too fast. She even says that she’s never humiliated anyone publicly and doesn’t deserve to be treated like a criminal. Yet, the feds in her case don’t see it that way.

If that weren’t enough, Abby also failed to declare $120,000 worth of currency she brought home after a trip from Australia in 2014. Authorities in the case say that Abby Lee Miller divided the money into several plastic bags before boarding a flight from Sydney to Los Angeles back. She had her assistants put the bags in their luggage.

Abby’s lawyers say that she simply wants to learn from her mistake, pay a fine, and put this ordeal behind her. Critics say Abby is in for a big surprise when she finds out that it simply won’t work that way.

Even Abby’s fans believe there’s a good chance she’ll end up paying a big price for her legal mess. After all, reality television star Teresa Giudice was found guilty for several counts of bankruptcy fraud. She served a one year sentence behind bars while her husband Joe Giudice is currently serving a 43-month term. Many believe that Abby might find herself in a similar situation.

So far, Abby herself has not made any public comments about the case. Do you think Abby Lee Miller will end up behind bars? Insiders say that Abby is doing whatever it takes to stay out of jail.
