Brad Pitt has finally had an overnight visit with all six of his children – including his eldest sons, Maddox and Pax. According to a new report from In Touch Weekly, Brad and his eldest sons took a ‘huge step’ towards repairing their relationship when the kids consented to finally seeing their father, something they had been hesitating to do since the plane incident.
For those who don’t know (and/or have been living under a rock), Angelina Jolie took her six children and left Brad Pitt immediately after The Plane Incident, where something happened on their private plane allegedly resulting from Brad’s anger/drinking problems.
Whatever did happen (and there have been plenty of theories and versions) was enough to freak out Angelina, and also anger Pax and Maddox enough that they didn’t want to see their father for a long time after.
However, this latest report claims that their anger has thawed somewhat, at least enough for them to consent to seeing Brad again. In Touch’s source explains, “Along with their younger siblings, Maddox and Pax had an overnight visit with their father. The kids were in the company of two nannies employed by Angie, and the nannies also spent the night at Brad’s house.
Initially, Brad was resisting having them there, but Angie insisted it was being recommended by the therapists, so he agreed. They all had a family dinner around the table, which Brad truly enjoyed. It was total chaos, as the kids all wanted to eat different things, and Brad was grateful to have a chef who accommodated all of their requests.”
This visit – if it happened – was clearly the result of months of therapy and the long child services investigation clearing Brad of any wrongdoing. Even after that, it took some more time for Pax and Maddox to trust their father again, but hopefully, the entire family is getting to the place where they’ll be able to spend time together without any lingering resentment or anger.
After all, even if Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are separated, Brad is still the father to all those children and that’s a bond that shouldn’t be broken as easily.
