Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Ron Carlivati’s material will be hitting the screen soon. As DOOL’s new head writer, Carlivati has plenty of drama in store for Salem. He’s known for pulling off wild plots, but it’s clear that Carlivati has taken the time to get to know our favorite Days characters. He’ll undoubtedly make sure we see some nice family bonds as well as interesting couples.
Carlivati recently tweeted out another teaser to get Days of Our Lives fans excited about July 19. That’s the first airdate for Carlivati’s debut episode at the NBC soap. In his latest Twitter hint, Carlivati showed us the breakdown for a scene at the DiMera mansion. It offers some crucial clues about a popular pairing.
The tweet reveals that Chad (Billy Flynn) will have Abigail (Marci Miller) on his mind. He’ll gaze at her ring while he contemplates what he’s lost. Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) will walk in on Chad’s moment of reflection. He’ll understandably assume that Chad is thinking about proposing to Gabi (Camila Banus).
Days of Our Lives spoilers state that Chad will quickly correct Lucas. He’ll suggest that he hasn’t quite reached that point with Gabi yet. When Lucas asks what’s up with the ring, Chad will admit that it’s Abigail’s. Lucas will likely realize that Chad is still in love with his ex, so he may offer some advice.
The inclusion of Lucas is nice for a couple of reasons. First, it shows that Carlivati isn’t going to kick the side characters to the curb. Lucas doesn’t do much anymore, but maybe Carlivati will find ways to use him more. The same goes for other fan favorites that don’t get much airtime. Perhaps Carlivati will incorporate those characters into the main stories like he’s doing in this scene.
Next, using Lucas here shows us that storylines will be tied together in logical ways. Days spoilers indicate that Justin (Wally Kurth) and Adrienne (Judi Evans) will bond over Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) drama next week. Sonny’s murder confession will create some despair for his parents.
As Adrienne grows closer to her ex, Lucas may mull over the idea of soul mates. Later, the scene with Chad could solidify that. Just like Chad can’t get over Abigail, Lucas may determine that Adrienne will never truly get over Justin.
Of course, the scene also hints that a “Chabby” reunion is moving full-speed ahead. Ron Carlivati’s teasers are certainly giving us high hopes for his new gig!
