General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal things are about to get even more unpleasant in the split and divorce of Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). You could say Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) was the force that tore CarSon apart but really, it might have been inevitable. Sonny’s impression that Carly was cheating on him with Jax led to a horrible blowup and now the Corinthos family will be fractured.
After all, how long have Sonny and Carly ever enjoyed a period of happiness? Someone always lies or cheats or else Sonny gets mired down in mob violence and Carly says, once again, that she can’t take it anymore. One or the other always walks out or screws up their many marriages.
This time, though, the split is pretty nasty and General Hospital spoilers say it will rip their extended family apart. Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) now blames Nelle since he just found out she and Sonny never slept together and she drugged him to trick him into appearing as if he slept with her. Michael thinks Nelle’s confession redeemed Sonny.
He was torn between his parents but he’ll soon be hit by the second revelation that Carly slept with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) even though she had barely left his father. Michael will find himself struggling not to take sides because he wants the best for his mom and dad.
However, General Hospital spoilers say things will get uglier when it comes to his other half siblings who definitely take sides and he’s got to deal with all their angst and his parents’ problems too. Michael always finds himself in the position of being the peacemaker and the one trying to fix everyone’s problems.
Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth) was stunned to hear from Michael that her dad cheated with Nelle but once she gets the clarification that nothing happened, she’ll see her dad as being in the clear. Kristina doesn’t like Jax sniffing around Carly and will come down hard on Sonny’s side.
Then there’s Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). Joss still has to be told about Jax buying Nelle’s kidney but that won’t turn her away from her dad. Josslyn will be thrilled that Carly kicked Sonny out of her life and has taken up again with her dad. Josslyn is definitely Team Carly.
The only child of Sonny’s that won’t have a stake in the coming war is little Avery. General Hospital spoilers reveal that Michael will have to try and juggle Kristina’s anger at Carly and Josslyn’s triumph at Sonny getting handed his walking papers. This will be yet another case where Michael is torn apart by his family.
What’s worse is Michael will find himself wanting to forgive Nelle and falling for her again and that will anger both his mother and father. Michael will be in a no-win situation and could be the person most damaged by his parents’ divorce – even more so than Carly or Sonny.
After today when Sonny called Carly a whore and she slapped him, the gloves are clearly off and this will be nastiest CarSon split yet. Sonny will go off the deep end and pursue revenge against Jax which will rip the extended family even further apart. This mess has the potential to go from unpleasant to tragic.
