General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is 100% done with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and that means it’s time for a hot new love interest for Port Charles’ sexiest mobster. We can expect to meet the lovely lady that catches Sonny’s eye by the time May sweeps kicks off.
On today’s episode, April 11, Sonny and Carly put a few hundred nails in the coffin of their dead marriage and it was an ugly scene. It was pretty funny when Sonny called Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) Carly’s “side piece” but then it wasn’t amusing at all when Sonny got downright nasty with Carly.
Sonny laid into Carly about “spreading her legs” for Jax. That remark had Jax threatening to kick Sonny’s ass and Sonny tried the schoolyard taunt of “you and what Army?” It turns out Jax was not the person that kicked Sonny’s ass, it was Carly who took care of it for herself with no help from Jax.
Sonny told Carly she couldn’t go five minutes without a man in her life and added: “that makes you a bad wife but a great whore.” That cheap shot earned Sonny the slap of the century from the harsh right hand of his soon to be ex-wife. Sonny growled at Carly, “The is the last time. We’re done.” And then he walked.
General Hospital spoilers from CDL were correct – while CarSon fans didn’t want to believe the leaked casting call about Sonny’s new love interest, but it’s clear after today’s GH, it’s game on for Sonny and this new chick. Even if Carly kicked Jax to the curb, Sonny is so disgusted with Carly, he wouldn’t take her back no matter if she came crawling back to him.
So who is the new lady in Sonny’s life? The name used during the casting call was “Martina” and she is described on the General Hospital audition script that leaked as “an experienced attorney” that is “smart and tough and likes to win.” That sounds like someone Sonny would be into. But they have other traits in common.
The script also describes Martina as having “a fiery temper that sometimes works against her.” That sounds a lot like the dimpled mobster, doesn’t it? Also, “she’s passionate and passionately drawn to Sonny.” The script describes that they met at a bar and swapped a steamy kiss.
The script also says she kissed him before she knew he was a mobster. The scene that leaked was from a corridor at the Port Charles courthouse so he might run into Martina coming from his divorce with Carly. This casting call went out several months ago and given the big CarSon blow up today, it’s likely we can expect to meet “Martina” – or whatever name they’ve given the hot lady lawyer – by the time May sweeps kicks off in just a couple of weeks.
