General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) does not only have a secret past with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart); but it is becoming increasingly clear that she has another connection to the Cassadine family; could she be Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) presumed dead daughter, Irina Cassadine (then-Alyshia Ochse), who was last seen in February 2012, when Helena had her “killed” for betraying her for a Spencer, namely Ethan Lovett (Nathan Parsons).
Long time GH fans remember when the “woman in white” plagued Ethan, when he was the caretaker of Wyndemere Castle. He gets to know her, but she seems to have some sort of amnesia, claiming her name is Cassandra. She was trained as an assassin to do Helena’s bidding, but when she refused to kill Ethan, Helena turned on her own daughter and had her men “get rid of her.”
General Hospital spoilers suggest Irina survived the shooting and in order to live out her life, needed to have plastic surgery. Does anyone notice how eerily similar Cassandra looks to Helena? As viewers of the ABC soap opera know, Valentin also needed reconstructive surgery due to his scoliosis; it’s very possible that Irina and Valentin met at the clinic and formed an alliance of sorts.
GH sources reveal that Irina and Valentin both had a common enemy – Helena; Valentin hates her for treating him like the bastard everyone hated and Irina for her mother, plotting and attempting to kill her. Now that Cassandra has contacted Valentin, it’s clear they had a very close relationship, with her even referring to him as “mon cheri”. She tells him they have much to discuss and it is of “mutual interest”; revealing that she is coming to Port Charles.
General Hospital fans know that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is close to discovering Cassandra’s connection to Valentin and it’s only a matter of time before the truth and depth of their relationship is revealed. How will the citizens of Port Charles react when they learn who Cassandra really is, and will she help Valentin with his vendetta against Laura Webber (Genie Francis), and hide whatever dark secrets they share?
