General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that there’s some huge casting news to report. Chris Van Etten will take on the role of Amy’s (Risa Dorken) brother, Chet Driscoll. If you’re thinking of the Chris Van Etten who recently became a co-head writer, you’ve got the wrong one! This Etten’s a model, actor, motivational speaker and former Marine.
Etten was wounded while serving in Afghanistan, so General Hospital obviously made a great casting choice. His real-life experience will undoubtedly help him connect with the part. Risa Dorken was thrilled over the announcement that Etten would appear as Amy’s beloved bro. She sent out some tweets to welcome Etten to the GH family.
It sounds like the Ask Man Landers plot could take a dramatic turn. Things have been light and fun so far, but there’s a deeper story to be told. We can’t forget that Amy’s injured brother is the reason for this whole scheme. Perhaps meeting Chet will make Nathan (Ryan Paevey) realize how important it is to help. You can catch Etten’s debut as Chet in November.
In other comings and goings news, Vince August will play PCPD Guard Peterson on October 31. He’ll most likely be involved in some Halloween mayhem. Patient Six (Steve Burton) is sure to cause major drama. Dr. Klein (Gene Farber) and his thugs won’t exactly make this a calm holiday either!
We should also mention a recent tweet that has GH fans buzzing. It all started with a conversation about how Robin (Kimberly McCullough) should be included in the tale of two Jasons saga. One fan started the exchange and other agreed that Robin could tie up some loose ends from the past.
Kimberly McCullough quoted the tweet and said, “…you might be onto something.” She added a thinking face emoji, so what’s brewing? Could McCullough make a brief comeback or she just suggesting that it’d be a good idea? Either way, we’re interested. It’s always nice to see Robin again, so GH needs to make it happen.
